I need help on a front tire for dry clay conditions....

I always run scrubs up front but as the night goes on they are just too much I think. I am not a big fan of JC rips or the losi 7202. which would have less steering jc barcodes or say the HB holeshots fronts or even the Losi tapers? Just need a step down from the scrubs.

what about running a shorty sideways in a b4? then mount the rx and esc in the front of the battery tray?

Some updates:
Got the +8 chassis installed did a race last night with it.
Man I love this buggy. SO fun..

Had Tommy Hinz(sp) drive it. helped me get it dialed in a little better. It sticks well. ( still need better rear tires though)

Ended up going with the FT inline front axles and steering blocks. instead of Hex in the front., It added about another 5mm to the length so about +13mm total. Looks almost like a Fat losi now. lol

Buggy is very fun to drive. We changed the track last weekend and added some small whoops. Was running 35wt front and 30wt rear. Dropped the rear to 25wt felt much better. brought the ride height up to 21mm from about 18-19mm it was at before.

Love this thing. Now to get a LRP combo and sell the Novak
If anyone wants to try to setup let me know and I will post it.

Track is a fresh clay 1 week old. Wet/dusty med traction. a little rough in area's

What are some of you guys finding to be good front tires on indoor clay tracks? I ordered my new rear rims for Hex and going to run some Bar codes in the rear. But need some fronts also.
I was told the 4-rib work good. I was trying to go torwards some JConcept front tires to make the rears

any thoughts?

The 3 most popular (front and rear) tires at my local track (SDRC Raceway) are JConcepts Bar Codes, HotBodies Beams and AKA Rebars.

Without reading 522 pages worth of posts...has anyone stripped the blue off the aluminum to have it anodized another color?

Purple is what I'm after (daughters car).

+2!

i finally finished putting my car together and used that setup and the car is on rails! the only thing i did differently is used 2* camber in the rear, and put the 1/2 oz in the servo tray instead of the front triangles. I might add 3/4 oz under the top plate and 2* anti-squat for sh!ts and giggles.
only thing i noticed is if the track dries up the car gets kinda loose.
