Ray just as the other 2 times you resized my sleeve it looks great. When I sent the motor to you it had carbon on top of the piston and no pinch left. It also shut down at idle when hot. Well less then a week later for 20 bucks I get a motor that had a nice pinch and looks like a piece of jewelry. Cleaned up, polished and lubed. And the best part it now idles through tanks of fuel easily. You might have the best 20 bucks spent in RC.

Russ,
I looked back thru my records to find your Plus 4 was last serviced April 15th 2010, showing 4+1/2 months running on a 2+1/2 tenth resizing. You must have been running this same engine since last year. NICE

Default every so often I do get one that cannot be fixed

Mark, Arvin, and Kevin serviced and return shipped.

Poorly resized piston+sleeve sets with Out Of Round conditions it is best to fix it before running, that would have otherwise worn piston unevenly, resulting a un-salvageable piston + sleeve set, or at the very least will not run well or for long. I have found the best repair method-process is to "first" OPEN sleeve bore while reforming cylinder to again a uniform (Perfectly Round) diameter. At this point of repair the piston is very loose in sleeve with NO physical resistance, loose enough to push piston thru top of sleeve. Resizing can be then performed accurately and with a correct tapered fit. I use the same process removing the pinch damage first, with OverPinch repairs.

Just request on my order form "REPAIR" as you would a standard resizing.

Any questions guys just call....

Thanks.
Please also look at sleeve liner surface finish condition. Post some well detailed pictures if you can. Very important to know just how deep these scratches are. Little damage can be worked out. Deep scratches cannot. What engine model? If its a ABN piston+sleeve set I can tell you now TOSS IT. Feel free to ship the set to me and I will consult with you fallowing initial inspection.

Call me tomorrow if you wish delt with more personal

Hope to be sending some business your way soon.
I have 2 sets of MG66 that require repinch, I have put the question to other club members and will see if anyone else wants to add to combine for better postage deals.
These will be coming from Alice Springs, Australia.

When sending, do you need a note advising what model engine the sleeves are from?

Boxhead,
Your return shipping from Orchard Park New York here is described below. I can fit many sets as you like in the little box I use.

Just note on my order form engine models sending and mark each piston+sleeve set 1,2,3 and so on.

And also please pay extra attention (talk to your guys) as to the "Prefered Tightness" you sellect. Light-Medium is the most prefered with my repeat ccustomers. Your the boss. I can tighten and loosen these babies any which way you like

Feel free to email me with any further questions and concerns

Preheat before starting to a temp of at least 180 , I use competition heat engine warmer and it works awesome .

Perform 3 x 5 min idle sessions (heat cycles) on the starter box at 190-210 with head covered

Let cool between each cycle with piston at bdc

Then run 3 x 10 min sessions of running the car on the ground without head wrapped , body on the car just slightly rich of race tune at 190-210 . Be careful as not to over rev the engine , after this go racetune it on the track .

Be sure you richen up your needles a bit before starting engine back up . If you are running novarossi and you get lost on your needle settings I can give you a good starting point , just get a hold of me

Any questions call me....still knee deep here in packages
