I'm thinking tie rod ends, shock o-rings, etc...etc...etc...

Oh and TONS of tires.

I wouldn't worry about tie rods, but maybe pick up some ballcups. The FT blue turnbuckles are pretty robust.
Parts I would suggest you carry: Front arms, rear arms, caster blocks

Diff rebuild kits, slipper pads, bottom plates, wing mounts, front arms, and ball studs would be my picks.

I used my old shock settings too then went to the setup in manual and it was much better. The new car is lighter and more flexible so that might have something to do with it.

(2) Front A-Arms
(2) Front Shock Towers
(2) Rear Hub Carriers
(1) Rear A-Arms
(6) Rear Hub Carrier Bearings
(4) Ball Studs
(8) RPM Ball Cups
(2) Caster Blocks
(2) Steering Spindles
(3) Wing Mounts

That's basically what I have in my parts box for my B4.

I'm having problems getting the shocks set. I' have done it by the book and get very little rebound. Never had this problem with the older shocks without bleeders so whats the trick?

there is no rebound when you push all the oil out the bleeder cap. how could there be any as there is no extra air inside the shock? if you want rebound, pull some air inside the shock by lowering the shock shaft some, before you put the bleeder screw in the cap

I'm having trouble with the bleeder caps. No matter what I do, air seems to get in there when I bleed the shocks using the instructions.

What is the best way to keep the solid axle pins in the axles?

Make sure you don't let the shaft rebound any when screwing the bleeder plug back in. Also when filling the shock, fill the shock cap up with oil as well and flip it on the shock and screw it down quickly before it drains too much.

Usually when filling and bleeding shocks there's a LOT of extra oil spilling out of the cap and bleeder during the build. It's not a clean process, paper towels are your friend.

You talking about the pin in the CVD or the press pin that wheel goes over?

The one in the CVD you gotta use the C shape retaining clip that goes over the outside of the CVD body.

The press pins are a pain, just replace them every so often and make sure your axles are shimmed tight enough to put a little pressure on the press pin.

Sorry...i was referring to the solid axle pins and not the roll pins in the rear stub axles. i slide them in and they just slide out the other side. I have heard of shoo goo to hold them in. just seams messy.

Put the pin in place and use a tiny drop of glue to secure it.

I think the spacing is off just a booby hair and it twists the whole tranny a little when torqued. I added a washer between the gear side wing mount and motor plate, worked like a charm.

"added a washer between the gear side wing mount and motor plate" - A pic would be great!!! I am having problems too.

i use a tiny blob of shoe goo on the end of the pin, then insert that end first into the hole in the axle, so it smears inside the hole. then scrap away any extra.
