Hey Y'All,
Quick question...
Getting back into buggy racing again and picked up a B4.1FT kit.
Stocking up the toolbox now...what are some good replacement parts to keep on hand?
Also what are common maintenance parts that I should keep on hand?
I'm thinking tie rod ends, shock o-rings, etc...etc...etc...
Oh and TONS of tires.

Parts I would suggest you carry: Front arms, rear arms, caster blocks

I used my old shock settings too then went to the setup in manual and it was much better. The new car is lighter and more flexible so that might have something to do with it.

(2) Front Shock Towers
(2) Rear Hub Carriers
(1) Rear A-Arms
(6) Rear Hub Carrier Bearings
(4) Ball Studs
(8) RPM Ball Cups
(2) Caster Blocks
(2) Steering Spindles
(3) Wing Mounts
That's basically what I have in my parts box for my B4.

I'm having trouble with the bleeder caps. No matter what I do, air seems to get in there when I bleed the shocks using the instructions.

Usually when filling and bleeding shocks there's a LOT of extra oil spilling out of the cap and bleeder during the build. It's not a clean process, paper towels are your friend.

You talking about the pin in the CVD or the press pin that wheel goes over?
The one in the CVD you gotta use the C shape retaining clip that goes over the outside of the CVD body.
The press pins are a pain, just replace them every so often and make sure your axles are shimmed tight enough to put a little pressure on the press pin.

Put the pin in place and use a tiny drop of glue to secure it.

VegasHB - Well I finally fixed my tranny and figured out what the deal was. The top shaft was loose so i added an axle shim, just helped the play in the shaft but didn't do much for the binding. The real kicker was the screw that runs through the wing mounts, once I tightened that one down the tranny would bind. I think the spacing is off just a booby hair and it twists the whole tranny a little when torqued. I added a washer between the gear side wing mount and motor plate, worked like a charm.
"added a washer between the gear side wing mount and motor plate" - A pic would be great!!! I am having problems too.
