Can anyone tell me what would be a cheap decent brushless motor/esc combo to start out with? I was thinking of buying the RTR but I would rather build it myself and choose my own electronics. Was thinking castle creations, but idk what kV to get. Thanks all!

What type of slop? In and out? Or up and down? And just making sure, but do u have the spacer in it? I know I've accidentaly forgotten to put it in in the past and left me scratching my head.

Just got my first 2wd buggy this weekend....the b4.1! Got it all built and just need to mount my electronics. Any suggestion on gearing for a havoc pro/ballistic 10.5? Running indoor with a 85ish foot straight.

Congrats on the buggy! Whatta way to start off in the 2WD buggy class...with the best.

For the ESC, I'd opt for the Tekin RS or Novak Kinetic.

For the motor, I'd go with either a Tekin RS, Novak Ballistic or LRP X12.

Just my opinions...

I have the Tekin RS and Novak Ballistic. The reason I chose the Ballistic is because you can swap out the stators if you plan on running in different classes (10.5, 13.5, 17.5).

What spur are you running? If ur using the 81t, start with at 21t opinion and go up or down from here. I ended on a 24 for about a 100-110ft straight.
