it all depends on the driver and, setup now i wouldnt say im bad at driving im just not constant . but the professional drivers can drive any car and win just saying.
you have a pm by me by the way.
so if your club racing as long, as you are good at driving and dont crash a lot than a older model will, keep up with the newer models at a club level.

Hey guys,is anybody running a Novarossi 21-7 FMS by any chance? I'm getting ready to drop one in my 8T 2.0, I'm looking for a medium-heavy set up for the clutch, what do you recomend?
with my LRP Z.28r spec3 I was running all alum kingshead 7075 w/2 gold, 2/silver. thanks for feedback.

im guessing you are using the alum/plastic shoes ? if so use a all alum clutch setup with ethier a green/gold spring setup or a all gold setup.
it does depend on what kind, of engine you have and get the engine running at 235 to around 245 depending, on what engine you have they all run diffrent.
you could change you pipe, or a header but cluch springs are cheaper for instance i run a hobby 9, rb s5 engine on my truggy and i think i have to go to a all gold setup. for more punch and stay away from the hard alum shoes omg lol.

lol i am actually using aluminum long wear shoes losi makes n the springs r stock, its a ninja jx and im running that super torky 2035 pipe so i no straight up this thing started going from great to ok around 7 gallons n now its sounding lean on bottom its so sluggish but dam it still runs so good i cant shelf her haha, i figured id just get a psr if i can get another 2 gallons but if i dont before then ill just rebuild.
man the silver/gold setup dam, thats a hard hitting clutch all i know is i need to use the gold/gold setup on my med king heads shoes. i know if i tried to use the silver/gold setup they wont last long.
the next time il get a torquey .21 engine for the truggy lol.

jammin the king headz med shoes rock ! no alum shaveings at all they still look good.

yea the clutch was running a lot cooler than the dynamite shoes
i like the smoothness, of the green/gold spring setup but i just need a little more punch so i think the gold/gold spring setup will help that.
if not is time for a 53 pipe or a long header.

beleive it or not I haven't had any issues with the 2 gold/2 silver set up in that Lrp .28 , maybe I need to mention that I don't race, but I do take it to the track to get my driving (crashing
) skills up.I'll try the gold/green set up and then all gold to see which one works better. New engine is on the way!!! can't wait to get bolted up and fired to start break in.
thanks for the info guys.

really appreciate the info, I've only been doing this for about a year, the LRP was my first engine, I set it up without much knoledge at the time, it seemed to work ok so it stayed that way. Moving up to Nova which will have a totally diff powerband altogether, I want to have a good starting point.

hey guys im having an issue with my low end on my engine, it seems sluggish and i think it might be cause its a lil older. i was thinking if i were to put in stiffer clutch springs then the stockers would this help the bottom? i figured if the engine engaged at a higher rpm the sluggish bottom wouldnt be as bad. i no the tune is good cause i have great smoke trail and the temps r 220 and the engines got 10 gallons on it so it deff is cause its ok. but the thing still works good mid to top.
10 gallon's...its time for a new motor......old beat/worn out motor's tend to run hot, have less and less bottom end, are usually picky to tune and have an erratic idle.....Junk it and move on.
