Thats what I went with for my buggy. I am thinking about 7950/7955 for my truggy so I have extra torque on steering. Of course I know there is more risk involved with this setup.

Default 7940 failures

Man, am I getting frustrated!!

I tried a 7940 a couple months back, I thought I found the perfect servo and that I would never have to buy another servo again.

I went a bought 6 of these. I run them for steering and throttle on buggy and truggy and steering in my SCRT10 and one for a backup.

I have had 3 fail in the last monthNow, I know what everyone is going to say, they fail when used on steering. Well, I have no complaints on steering, they work perfect, plenty of power and speed. Mine have all failed on throttle!!! As we all know, throttle/brake are EPA'd, so I only have it set for 71% throttle and 68% Brake. I am not even running them on 7.4, I am using LIFE packs.

Is there a Hitec Rep on this thread? Does anyone know if Hitec is aware of a problem with the first ones that came out? Are they making any revisions or improvements?

Thanks in advance
David

My throttle one failed today at Silver State practice. I had brake and not gas. Odd, but now it wont move at all.

Hi,

I had 7965MG for throttle, but this race weekend (and ago, but I don't know what is issue in my 8ight 2.0) is the last for that.

It had maybe 20 litres of fuel in my buggy. When I want to pull throttle/brake it don't react. When someone on track service bung car on the track, servo abort (engine blip-blip-blip instead BLIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIP on straight).

I search good servo (overkill durability & quite good specifications). I think about 7940TH.

Have you own proposition for that?

Best regards,
Matthew

I Would consider waiting a few days and see if the 7945 hits the shelves right away....its middle ground between the 40 and 50 and If there's a servo that's going to replace my 59/7955's its going to be the 7945.

I only have 1 race on my 7950/7940 setup and so far it's dialed. Felt really good out there on the track.
