I do have an issue with the new losi packs I just purchased. I bought 4 and one has the reg 2 prong jst type plug on it and the other 3 have a 3 prong receiver style plug on them. What the hell Losi??
The batts with the red jst style plug are the older packs which has the low voltage circuitry built in (this is what has been causing all the issues with the losi lipo packs). Seen many many of them have an issue. The new packs with the black 3 prong connector are the newest packs which do not have the problematic circuitry. So you want the packs with the black connector, you can change the ends if you want but those are the newer packs.
Mike truhe told me how to remove the green circuit boards in the end of the older batts. A dub did this and it seems to be working fine without any issues.

Some people were using the dynamite packs because it doesn't have the circuitry, but its the same dimension pack.

Frank, they've updated the packs to use the standard 3 pin receiver plug. The newer packs come with the 3 pin plug. IMO it is a much better plug than the JST and is much more popular.

Was it when they went to the black plug that they got rid of the circuitry or when they went to the black shrink wrap? I have 2 with the JST plug and I swear they don't have any circuitry. I could be wrong though. They haven't given me any issues either way.

I have 2 at home that was given to me by Alan Burton when his took a dump in the amain at the psycho nitro blast. They are both black and have the jst connector along with the 2 green circuit boards. Truhe said all you have to do is cut open the battery shrinkwrap and tape, remove the two green circuit boards and reconnect all wires just omitting the 2 boards. Have seen one done this way with no problems. I also have one of the black packs that I have been using for well over a year with no issues at all.

you measure the sway bars with a set of caliper's and that will tell you which is which...the 2.0's should have the #'s laser etched Right on them but you obviously got 1.0 versions.

when you mount the sway bars to the bulk head you want to use the set-screw's to take up the slop...you Do NOT want to lock up the sway bar...the bar needs to be a hair loose to allow it to do its thing.

Kinda figured that was the case. I haven't cut mine open so I will assume they have the circuits. Haven't had an issue, but I will keep an eye on them now.

X2 Calipers are good for measuring stuff.

The 4 that I bought in aug 09 and 2 of them have issues the other 2 don't. I'll have to see how the new ones do.

Hello Losi fans, i have a setup question. I have a losi 8ight T 1.0 Race roller, and shes still competitive! set a 39.1 second lap on my home track, fastest of the day was 39.0
My truck's rear end kicks out ALOT when i get off the brakes on our straitaway into a 90 degree right hander, how do i keep the rear from stepping out?
I was thinking heavier front shock oil to prevent weight transfer.

I run purple rear springs, black in the front.. had silvers in the rear before.

Running aka city blocks on 1/2 offset rims, track is clay, plenty of grip- truck will wheelie

- how would i remove the rear end kicking out
- Is there a list of losi spring tensions, so i know what springs to get if i ever want to swap them?
- What would a shorter or longer camber link do on my truck?
