Ya I have been running 7940's and 7950's since they came out and no issues. I do think the HV servos drain the battery a little faster but a 2000 pack still lasts well over an hour.

as frank said his 2000 lasts well over an hour. i have an 1800 and ive ran like 15-20 min of practice, 2 6 min qualifers, and a 30 min main and it only took about 800mah

I felt the same way about the AA packs before I started running lipo packs. The AA packs are good and they do last a long time, but the lipo packs are much better. They last longer, have more power and are about 1/2 the weight. My Losi lipo packs will last well over an hour running unregulated on twin Hitec HV servos(7940 throttle and 7950 steering).

Speaking of receiver packs, I just got some LifePo4 packs from Team Cobra racing to run in my Losi's. I run an Ace 1015 on my steering and Futaba BLS451 on throttle. I ran my truggy for around 40 mins and the 1400mAh pack took in 600mAh.

The packs fit perfectly under the hump pack cover, I think I found myself a really solid receiver pack solution. I do still have the lipo in my buggy but it's regulated. I would say, If I had to do it again, I would go unreg Lipo with the Hitec HV servos. I highly recommend the Team Cobra hump pack for the Losi's for anyone who doesn't want to go the Lipo or HV route.

If you're going to spend the money on a set; by all means purchase the inclined units

If you already have them, give 'em a shot though. I've never preferred high caster, kills turn in and exit steering generally except on 'loose' surface tracks where the tires can really dig in.

I agree, and if you go with the inclined spindles I recommend the 10 degree units.

I wasn't a fan of 12 degree caster on the truggy. On the buggy they are good, but on the truggy they kill too much turn in.

Would someone please be able to post up the difference in spring tensions for the losi 8ight range of vehicles from softest to hardest please.

I have had a thoorough look around but I'm sure there's someone on here with this in their head.

Thanks

you have any pics of your LIFE setup? where do you buy cobra batteries?

also, life you don't need to regulate is if you would with lipo? i have twin titanium servo's on my SR300 truggy, but running 6v nimh. i can't afford to fry my servo's..

Hey all. What are you guys replacing the throttle/brake servo horn with? I've gone through 2 stock plastic ones and am looking to get something in aluminum, but the holes for the racers edge and dynamite don't look like they'll work without modding them. Any thoughts?

I say check your endpoints because you shouldn't be going through throttle horns. I haven't had one fail in the time I have been running the losi vehicles(quite a while now. Basically since they came out.)

it's not that the servo horn actually failed. It's that the hole where the throttle linkage fits into the servo horn gets a little sloppy. It hasn't broken through as of yet and I would imagine it would take a while, but they do get sloppy.
