Hey everyone what seems to be the best pipes for the reedy? I just ordered one for my T 2.0 and wanted to get a heads up on what pipe to choose.

Thanks

If you're running on a huge track with no tight sections, then consider the 2039 for smoother bottom and better mid & top, but 95% of the time run the 2035.

Both Pete and I were running the Reedy and the 2035 on the weekend. I have no idea how much run time I was getting but in the neighborhood of 9 minutes using the 2035 and OD97t plugs. Temps were in the 270's. I think if I went with a P3 I could have had a little more time, but I sure didn't need anymore power.

Pete, What plug's are you running? I saw a bunch of Reedy plugs. I might have to grab one off of you to compare with the 97t one day.

Ok thanks.

Also until my 2035 gets here would a JP3 suffice? It would be used on a small to medium sized kinda tight technical track.

Mine won't run properly below 250*. It just has no power and no economy. How long of run times are you getting? White pipe, what plug? What weather? What is the track surface like?

Today for me after about 5 laps straight i was at about 270 also. I am using OD97t, 30% byrons. When i finish and let her cool down she still feels tight so I guess its fine. I think my problem is that i am on a 13t clutchbell(all I had) So i may be over revving her on the 150 ft straight. I got a 16t and 17t on the way.

I'm running the RT4 plug. 7.5 restrictor in Buggy and 8.0 in Truggy. Pulled off at temp of 220 in Buggy and 230 in Truggy. Since it was a 20min main, I pitted at 7 and 14 minutes, and I've got over 1/3 tank left in each one. Mind you, the track got cold, dusty and slick by the main, so you couldn't pull it hard and that helps with both mileage and temp.
Also, fuel is Byrons 30-11 (not the 30-9 Pro Driver formula.. at our altitude of 3400ft the 30-11 is much more consistent to tune).

How new is your motor? I run a stock black ae pipe, and a p4 plug, After about 2 gallons, the motor runs great, always comes off the track between 240 and 250 running as good as it will get. The motor is tempermental until the 1 gallon point,( I have broke in 2 of these motors at the same time, same result with both) after the 1 gallon mark, it becomes very easy to tune, and idles great. Did you put the shim in that came with the motor, and remove the stock ones after break in? I get between 9 and 10 minutes on a hardpacked clay track, 90-100 degrees outside by the water in buggy, and 10-11 in truggy. Have you tried gearing up the car? Try a 16t clutch bell. These motors have very little top end at first, but the car comes alive after time.

There are way too many variables to compare engine temps unless you are racing the same track, same fuel, same day, and even then different chassis makes will make the same motor (literally the same engine not same brand) run at different temps. Clutches, etc..... get yours to run where itneeds to be then just run it, never compare numbers to someone elses. Humidity, elevation, fuel type, and many more things will make running temps different.

I've had engines screaming to the point it scared me it would blow up on an indoor track, and it would never get over 235, same engine a couple weeks later on a warm day outside was at 270 to feel good. Same engine same car.
