I know you are passionate about Redcat, and I own a few of them, but that statement makes no sense at all.

Redcat doesn't manufacture cars, they simply buy them in bulk and rebrand them. With that being said, some are good and some are not. It all depends on who the true manufacturer is.

So to say that a $199 Redcat is the same quality as a $700 vehicle, is just a silly statement.

Worst purchase I ever made servo and receiver was foa.and within minutes of light track use I busted a shock. Luckily the guy that ran the track was a redcat dealer and had shocks on hand.along with a used servo and receiver he pulled out of his personal car. Once fixed I quickly dumped it of for the first 100$ that I could get. And I also watched many of the neighborhood kids that owned this vehicles constantly breaking.and waiting on parts. Even know the owner was a dealer.. And we had a regular that works at redcat.. Those cars are a wreck stay away from them..

IMO of course..

It's nice to read others inputs sometimes. I just picked up a Avalanche XTR, all stock, Runs OK, the SH is proving to be a bit picky to tune, but I bashed the crap out of it the other day until a swing set jumped in front of it @ full tit, taking out the front diff housing. It sits here next to me, disgusting from wet grass shreds and mud, waiting on parts and a cleaning. All in all for the price tag, it's not a bad piece. In the 25 minutes or so of run time I've got on it since I bought it It's outlasted my HPI Savage that couldn't leave the ground without snapping shocks and has taken WAY more abuse then I ever put my Savage through. I'm still considered a wet behind the ears complete nub when it comes to R/C I'm just playing with them to pass some time on boring days. I think we do have a few tracks around here I might go bash on with a friend. We'll see.

The waiting for parts does SUCK, I don't think there's a Redcat dealer in my state, much less my town, therefore I will wait for parts.... And Hope they do a AL front diff housing for it eventually.

wow that is fast!

I purchased - Blackout XBE and Everest (crawler).

The Blackout is now upgraded to Lipo and adds maybe 1 to 2 mph.
Redcat claims (stock) top speed of 19 mph.

I'm liking my Redcats!
