Options
1.would going to the 9853/41020 help ?

2. Get a Toro Nero, i do like going 10 min tho, i cant get my dad there on his toro, i can on my +4

3. Send it to pro twister mods, please no go to this or that place, i like brian, he really stood out to me so i will only got to him.
the new toro can get 12-13 min... phillip atundo told me that is what he gets.. and his was the same one you buy out the store

Thanks guys for all of the responses, great information. it looks like I may have got something stirred up in here though. I have read the break in bible and the tuning bible thread. I am an information whore. What I have found so far is that from a very green standpoint some of it is just not basic enough. I am getting most of it after hearing it explained differently 5 or 6 times.

I have torn the the rear of the truck down to ring & pinion.but not the diff. and taken the steering apart to adjust the servo saver and set the camber rod length, but thats all so far.

horizon has been helpful, they sent me shock ends, pipe mount, and a new starter box motor.

question. On the servos, I am completely in the dark about requirements for them. I was reading this thread around p 290 and guys were talking about lipo batteries and regulators and more chinese stuff. on the 7955 and other higher end servos do they require all of this, or is there a good servo that doesn't. I am trying to stay out of the doghouse. I have only had this thing for a week, and ran it two days, women don't get it

Go get your boots. Those are the box tires on the truggy too! Didnt turn a wrench on anything. Oh, have the turbo button and RE11 on the truck in addition to the servos.

Ps. I'm Aaron W by the way

Hitec 7955 is said to handle an un-regulated lipo. If you want the very best, the Hitec 7940 for throttle and 7950 for steering are designed specifically for a lipo battery. I run that pair in my truggy and it ROCKS!

7955's ARE lipo ready...so are their previous gen the 5955....Hitec has quite a few servo's that will work on Unregulated lipo but my advise would be to pick up a pair of 7955's and you'll be set.

I had a pro take a few laps in my truggy today and it definitely shows that the Losi with the Clockwork JL .21 can be nasty fast! Of course he would probably be fast driving the track with a Tamiya Hornet.
Thats wicked your getting those kinds of runtimes...The latest mod version of the JL is pretty impressive so far, It would take one hell of a engine to be able to run with it(speed wise) that is for sure...

Hey man like I always say it all depends on who shows up as to who's the fastest. But whatever floats your boat. I race with a group where 10 seconds will seperate 10-15 racers on some days and then on others certain guys don't show up and the comp is gone. Best thing I ever did was to go to a large race 300+ entries and see how you fit in. Best of luck to ya. BTW on that score sheet "mad" it looks like only 4 guys showed up to race anyay. 7 laps in 12 mins does not count.

Some cars broke and one of the fast guys laps werent getting scored (think he only had 1 lap completed). I wasnt able to get a tansponder in time for the race and was getting hand jammed (hence my "fast lap"). I've raced some big events in the past (F mains in the expert stock class!) but I've only recently got back involved. Reason for the post was to merely show the truck is competitive in the hands of somebody that can drive. I'll be doing some traveling throughout the SoCal area in the coming months but right now I frequent ARC and Barona.

Man I know the rtr losi is competitive. I have seen guys at my local tracks kick serious ass with it. All o was saying is that it has issues like with the servos and shock towers etc that will need attention very soon. Good luck to ya and keep racing it's what keeps this hobby alive.

Guys, I have looked through 25+ pages of this thread and still did not find what I was looking for, so if this a repost I apologize, but I wanted some info on the two piece center diff (losa4444). Basically, will it straighten the angle from the slide carb to the throttle servo at a right angle opposed to 75 degrees or whatever the angle is now? The new center diff is back in stock and I just want to make sure this will fix the geometry issues I have with my throttle linkage.
Thanks in advance, Mike
