nova guys, i need your advice.

The way i drive i want a little more power then what i have now(+4. 9853/41021)

i feel its needs a little more top and bottom, i can deal with the top end if needed thats not affecting my driving at all. i have a couple options i am looking into, just need opinions

Options
1.would going to the 9853/41020 help ?

2. Get a Toro Nero, i do like going 10 min tho, i cant get my dad there on his toro, i can on my +4

3. Send it to pro twister mods, please no go to this or that place, i like brian, he really stood out to me so i will only got to him.

Finally got my truck running and WOW this thing is COOOL! But boy is it a lot of trouble. I 'm new to rc so I bought the rtr. shock ends stripped, pipe mount & screw missing, all camber links different lengths, servo saver way too tight, and on the starter box motor, the wiring connection was broke out of the box. But after i called horizon, they are sending me those parts. Overall happy with customer support, no ?'s asked just sending me new parts.

But this whole carburator thing is killing me!! the operations manual says that the starting point for the losi 454 H/S and L/S needles is 2 1/2 turns out. but when i set the low speed at that setting and start it, it wants to rev way up. so i fatten I up due to not very much smoke. i'm sure its just new guy frustration but I haven't been to my local track to talk to anyone yet. Any of you guys race @ pleasant hill, MO?

Any thoughts? thanks Dave

Ps to make this post longer, I was on my fourth tank of fuel last night and my truck just stopped and Idled till it died. I think I smoked My throttle servo I am still reading this thread and know that this is an known issue but come on, i dropped almost a grand and haven't even jumped it yet. Do I call Horizon or bit the bullet and buy a different one?

New servo for sure....RTR servo's aren't the best of quality and normally don't last too long.

+1. Get a couple of higher quality servos.

In addition, pay close attention to epa settings.

They should almost drop the price a bit on the RTRs and make them RTR minus servos. I think everyone that has an RTR 8ight 2.0/T has burned through the servos.

Get it modded and talk to the modder and tell him what you want it to do. Mark at powerhouse always takes the time to talk tk me on the phone and answer any questions so he can dial the engine in to my liking. I am sure Brian will do the same. You will be happy in the end with a modded engine. They are showing up more and more at my
local tracks. Guys try to hide them but you can tell the modded from stock.

Sorry to hear your having trouble, WELCOME to the world of Rc...... Servo- they are cheap, Horizon will replace them, but you need to pick up some better servos...HITEC - sevos are a problem with most rtr kits

now what I dtrongly suggest is that you sit are rebuild the whole truck, it may sound a bit much but you have to remember that these are put together by lil old ladies somewhere in asia, plus its good to go over and get use to whats what and what goes where and why. You will be doing this alot. when you call horizon tell them everything wrong and they will help you out.

+1 a pair of HITEC servos will do you well. Those crappy JR RTR servos are nowhere near good enough for a truggy. If I were you I would just grab a pair of Hitec 7955's and call it done!
