I tried calling novak but they just closed so now I have to call in the A.M. but this is driving me nuts. Any other ideas???? I dont know anyone that has a BL motor to do test so I am kinda stuck.

Futaba does not make a Spektrum. They make a 2.4 ghz Fast system. Or, did you get a Futaba with a Spektrum module in it? What radio and what receiver are you using?

You said the decal is gone from the ESC, a wire is chaffed on the sensor harness, and you are getting a signal that there is a problem with the harness. My bet is the harness is damaged. You also said they weren't connected correctly to begin with and you fixed it. What exactly did you do?

yeah sorry about the spektrum thing but it is the sport fataba 2.4 and yeah I did re-do the wiring to the correct way for the placement of the switch and receiver harness. But I just talked to the guy I got it from and we both think that it may just be the sensor harness so I will be picking another up I hope... if hobby town usa carries it. I also found out it was a original GTB. He has a race tomorrow and knows Bob Novak and said he will talk to him and may call to help me out.

Based on that info, I would say it points to the sensor harness.

Well I went to the LHS and guess what.... they had no idea what a sensor harness was?! LOL but he tested it for me and turns out the red wire has a break in it somewhere. All the rest tested out good. Thanks Guys for the help.

Wow, anyone that does not know what a sensor wire is DOES NOT belong behind the counter of a hobby shop. That's like the most recent (and very last) time I went to HobbyTown. Moron behind the counter couldn't solder up a lead on a lipo and said to come back in a half hour for the "solder guy" to return from lunch. (for the inevitable comment: I was dropping a lipo off to a buyer who told me last minute he wanted a different one on and I was 80 miles from home or I would have done it myself.)

Glad you got it fixed. Now sell it before it blows up!

No, he's just messing with you. I have 5 gtb's and run them every week in different classes and in the 3+ years I have been using them the only one I blew up was when I took a hit that bounced my esc into the motor and shorted the wires. Other wise I have not had or seen any others go in any of the on or off road racing I have done. Just make sure the wires have plenty of clearance and all will be fine!
