Questions?? Cant get my GTB to work???

Alright I just got this used GTB and used motor off a racer on here and want to test it so I can leave feedback but I cant get the throttle to work? I did the one touch setup and the steering works but no throttle.... so I looked up the manual and the ESC is showing me a solid red LED and a blinking green LED which the manual says:

check input and motor sensor harness - Did that and they are both nice and snug

Then it says test the receiver by swapping out the thottle/steer wires and test - Did this and steering still works but no throttle.... so the channels are both good

I dont know what else to try? Any one had this happen before? Please help me!

Make sure you have the following settings on your radio.

Throttle trim 0
Throttle sub trim 0
Throttle epa hi and lo MAXED OUT may be more than 100%

also try normal and reverse throttle setting.

hope this helps

IS it not working due to the crappy radio? Does the GTP need a FM or Spektrum to work (for test purposes)? I just want to make sure the ESC/motor work before I spend more money.....

could be a few things. Is your battery fully charged and the lipo cutoff in the right selection? What motor is it? if it is a novak make sure the timing is not to far advanced or retarded. Try it with a friends motor use the process of elimination.

Yeah I have a fully charged venom 3600 ni-mh battery and it has a Orion vortex motor with the sensor wire. I could not figure out how to mess with the lipo on/off and brushed/brushless setup?

Try a different motor. sounds like the motor or sensor wire could be damaged. And all plugs are facing the right way too.

Yeah when I received it the wire were in the wrong spots so I moved them to the correct spots and everything is nice and snug..... the only thing I see wrong with the sensor wire is two of the wires are missing a little coating from when they may have rubbed against something. Yeah I will try a different motor later tonight.

This may be a totally dumb no-duh thought on my part but what version of the GTB is it? If it is the Spread Spektrum version it won't matter what you do because it will not work with radios that still use crystals.

I think it is a original version but still waiting for the guy that sold it to me reply. The only sticker on it was the GTB and the other one with the wiring was gone. Could I find out with the sticker on the bottom? It is the barcode. I am thinking it is the radio though.
