I was jealous of Dave's pictures, so I threw the digicam on the ground and it started working again. Here is the upper deck I made for my tc3:

It is the only one I have ever seen that does not limit the access to the diff halves (due to my integrating it into the corner braces.) It is also still very low on the chassis, less than 4 mm above the shaft. It is very functional at making the chassis extremely stiff, especially after moving the battery in.

You can also see my other mods: serpent shocks, custom battery brace, and custom motor clamp.

I was going to either make a torque rod connecting the upper deck to the rear diff case or integrate the deck into the corner braces, but I decided not to do either because the main chassis already has so many ridges underneath that it would be pointless to hassle with.

Here's another pic. In this one, you can see how low the deck is and a little bit of my main chassis work.

Peace and happy racing.
Thanks, I'll definately have to look into it.

Default My TC3

Well it took me a few weeks to get everything the way I wanted it, but it is finally done. I'll be dropping it on a track this Saturday if everything goes well. I'm hoping my old radio can come through for me for a little while longer.

Thought you'd dig some pics...

ApexSpeed very nice job. I really like neat wiring and electronics layouts. I think it takes me more time to put in my electronics than to build the car. Pretty trick looking paint job as well.

Mine is the same as Apex but my wires are shorter and the battery tabs are next to the shaft. I will take a picture of it tonight and post it.

Hey Mike, That chassis you have is that one midified by BillySpence? I have one he done and it looks identical to yours, same foam piece and same black lexan piece by the drive shaft. I really like mine and it looks great. Don't run to bad either.

I would never run something Silly Billy made!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually I copied his. I enlarged my motor area underneath the Motor and I don't have a fan which he has for his. The foam is the same stuff he buys. I also copied his lexan cover....before I was using cardboard.

Well Mike you did a great job. I'm kinda new to the TC3 but I saw the chassis Billy did and he had some for sale and my used TC3 needed a nicer one so I bought it. The car worked very well with it. I just wasn't patient enough to do it myself and I thought his price with including the chassis was resonable enough for me.

You do race at The Track? I think I'm planning to make it down in 2 weeks to run and hang out with a few of the guys I know down their. Plus I oh Teach a visit since he came to RCO. He wants some revenge for the beating I gave him so I'm a man of my words and told Tom I would be down for my carpet beating very soon. I hate taking carpet beatings.

2 weeks is snowbirds .

Everyone beats Teach . Maybe by then he will have bought his $400 Pro4 hahahahahaha

He was doing really well at the begining of the season but I have not seen him lately. Come on down to The Track. It is a great place to race and the Competition is very good.
