Hot Bodies Cyclone
I'm using tape now, but the tape holes in the chassis line up in the the middle of the batteries, this is where the power leads come out.
So i can't seem to get a good solid fix.
Do HB make some sort of battery clamp?
I've checked the option and spares list but couldn't find anything.
Another question as well please.
As i bought my chassis secondhand some parts are extra and others are missing.
The front to rear belt tensioner is missing, i've driven the car for 20 mins and there is no sign of belt slippage yet, but should i order a belt tensioner for when the belt gets a little older and stretched?
Cheers

Hello Korey I have to ask two questions: I noticed in your setup (and also on that of Baker for tarmac) for carpet there is less thickness than the rear camber link on the front because the choice?
And the aluminum front spindle (# 67698) harm than good especially the third hole?
Thanks
Agno

The aluminum front spindles are actually a nice upgrade if you are having durability issues with the front spindles. As an added bonus, they give a different Ackerman adjustment hole specifically for very very high grip tracks. I like to use it when running on foam tires on carpet.

I like using fewer shims on the camber link up front when using the wider suspension blocks. Otherwise, I'd run 2-3mm when using the standard suspension blocks.

I use carbon fiber "L" tabs and the PPD EZ-Lipo plate.
Thanks Korey for your reply.

Roll centers
Hey everyone
I was wondering if something could explain the handling characteristics of raising and lowering the shims under the wishbone blocks. I run on very high grip carpet and am trying to take some of that grip away using roll centers.
Can anyone help?

with spacer under pivot block, tires work much more.
And center of gravity is lower.
is a compromise that you have to find, but usually if you use foam tires uses only 0.5 mm

Thanks guys.
The PPD EZ-Lipo plate looks good, but they are out of stock.
Tried searching for TOP + LiPo but nothing really useful came up, is TOP a company a abbreviation?
The 3racing chassis looks interesting, thing is i use stick packs so the edges are rounded off, so those plastic tabs wouldn't be much use unfortunately.
My Pro4 is pretty much the same chassis except with shaft drive, the Pro4 has 2 brackets and a battery clamp.
Was nothing like this ever offered for the Cyclone?
Cheers

gixer, the T.O.P.'s part#:
Brace: TC-PMNS01
Weights: PO-PBW101

Great thank you.
Looking at the pics it seems that the TOP system still needs to to secure the battery.
It's difficult to see 100% from the pics, but is this system a battery clamp or more towards providing a secure weight solution?
Cheers

It's a battery brace (secures side to side movement) and weight system. You still need to tape the battery down.

traction roll
Hey,
Im having trouble with grippy tyres that are causing traction roll.
Appart from glueing the edge of the front tyre what changes could i make to solve this, for example shock position, roll centers, droop, camber etc?
