I should be stocking these engines here at AB Mods shortly, Great "budget priced" engines!

Crankcase looks identical to the killer 9, I thought they were different. I tryed ordering one the beginning of this week.... backorder from Horizon.

I was thinking the case was a little different as well, the carb is 8mm and I dont think it will accept restrictors. Torn down flushed out and sealed up. It did have bits of flashing that I removed. See if I can break it in this weekend.

It will, the Killer 9 comes with a nice aluminum 8mm installed. I put in RB plastic #7 with no problems. I noticed a lot better runtime with the 7mm, and still have plenty of power.

the motor will NOT accept inserts. its a different carb than the k9. the jpx carb will slide right in and then you can use inserts.

We have about 40 fast Expert drivers on this side of Arizona and the 40 we have are very fast. Eric is one of the fast guys and does real well with the Hyper 9. I am sure he will give the new JL motor a good showing. Good luck at ACS this Week I wish I could go.
