Just with the AE black grease on both sides of the gasket.

You can heat it up prior to starting it with a heatgun. This will give the engine a little temperature so that the parts don't have such a tight pinch and you won't damage anything with excess stress on the cold parts. Also to keep temps up near operating temps you can use aluminum foil around the engine head.

When i broke mine in, i didnt have any tin foil around, so I used a beer coozy.. if you dont have one, buggy tire foams kinda work.

The tuning window is nice and wide in my opinion. The engine has run well for me inside of a 6 hour window on the high speed needle and 9 hour window on the low speed needle.

I haven't had any trouble with leaks. Use either Green Slime or Black Grease on both sides of the "gasket". Also, make sure you use blue Loctite on the carb fixing screws! I goofed up on mine when I got it by not using the Loctite, and the carb screws backed out.

I would go for it. I ran my D8 with a 121 in it twice at Hobby Hut and it did great for me. Very smooth engine that puts the power down well. I have two 121's and a V Spec. I am selling the V Spec because I am tired of seeing it just sit.

Nova Rossi's in my experience have not been finicky. I almost never touch the needles. Small changes is all that is needed. All my Nova Rossi, RB and OS engines have been the same.

I have a Reedy waiting for my buggy as well.
