It's not letting me insert the attachments for some reason, so I'll link to them here: [ [url=http://digitalperfection.com/engine/IMG_6729.jpeg]photo #1 | photo #2 ]. I have an old .09 Sirio engine that I had in my 1/12 Kyosho Spada 09. I probably ran it 5-6 times.. all told it can't have more than 2 hours of runtime on it, but it's been sitting idle for several years now. I'm finally getting around to restoring the Spada, but parts have become incredibly scarce, and like everything else, what is out there is ridiculously overpriced. I have seen a few .12 versions of this engine out there, so that would probably be the choice if I were to have to replace it... but my question is ... What would be the first few steps y'all would recommend to get this thing running again? I'm definitely a rookie still when it comes to nitro engine maintenance... so I need to proceed carefully. Any advice appreciated!

Acquired an older Revo with a Sirio Turbo Monster Head .27 engine in it for free. It looked in rough shape the guy said it had been sitting in a barn for a number of years and he thought engine was seized. Long story short I took engine out pressure washed frame and took engine apart cleaned very well, sprayed WD-40 on everything put it all back together and the thing ran awesome even on the original Turbo glow plug it came with. I’ve been very impressed with this engine. Not only is it quite a bit faster than my 3.3’s and almost keep up with my F5.9 but it’s been very easy to tune and very dependable. Wished they still made these engines. Oh well I’ll enjoy it while it lasts and hopefully still be able to find a piston and sleeve for it when it needs one. If anyone know where I could find that please let me know. Thank you

Thinking of purchasing the Sirio S09-R engine described on Kyosho’s website as “While the standard engine has two ports, the "R" has three ports. The internal structure of the engine is processed in the same way as a 12-class race engine, making it truly worthy of the "R" title. It is in a higher class in terms of performance and durability, and has outstanding power at high revolutions.”
Would it be ok to use the standard KF005 muffler set that comes with the KF01? Or would I have to use the KFW019 Tuned Pipe set which is so rare these days?
