It sounds like there is no consensus on this, but I had a customer today ask if we could get a piston/sleeve replacement for the GRP .21-S engine that Losi at one point was selling. It looks like they have discontinued distribution of the GRP line as others have stated; do we know if there is any direct-fit replacement that can be used with this engine, or are people who have this engine out of luck?

future ..there doesnt seem to be a direct replacement ...the only thing that will work is mr-ninja parts ...unfortunately they have all been bought up ...horizon scooped up all the parts that were left ...but unfortunately they are mostly parts people wont need ....you can find cases , o-rings, carb parts , and crank shafts still for sale here and there ...the really impportant stuff such as p/s and rods are long gone ...if any one needs a p/s for a tuned grp .21 that will also fit in a standard grp ...check the for sale thread i have one up there for sale n.i.p ....im not going to run them any more as parts arent available ...so i figured someon on rc tech might need it ....i wouldnt be surprised if a year or 2 down the road they pop up again ....its hard to keep those pesky italian down ...man they made a good motor ..sucks they are no more ..hope that helped

You would think a company would take over GRP's engine line and start making them, and parts. How hard would it be for O.S. , Novarossi, or Go Tech() To pull something like this off?

Those GRP parts that Horizon got were about 2 months ago and long gone for the p/s.....

Checked today at my lhs, those engines are the magnesium heads..They say MR21 BO1T...Maybe the "t" stands for titanium? they are $425...They have about 10.....Would be nice to have one........

My LHS obviously isn't able to restock the GRP plugs so I wanted to know what would be a good plug I could use as a replacement? I heard something about the OD 77T or OD 97T would work well with the GRPs. Anyone know if this is true or not? I have a bunch of them that I have for my plus4. Just wanted to play it safe and make sure. Thanks guys!

how many gallons? all mine have run at least 5-6 gallons before need ing attention ..besides bearings which i replace with tkos ..then when it does start to flame or give problems just send it somewhere like alan burtons speedshop and get it pinched and as long as the rod and crank are good (usually are) your good for another 2-3 gallons ...
