Has anyone made Boss 302 decals for a Pegasus Mustang? I was thinking of painting the side stripes and hoods stripes and was hoping that someone has a computer image file that I could use as a template.

Im loving the Nash colors in the stripe. So does a team pass the transponder to the next car or do you just add the laps together?

When I'm not spending time debating the rules in VTA, I'm busy painting bodies. Here is a Black & Blue Pegasus Mustang.

Alright, well, I just picked up a VTA car in the last few days, and now I gotta get a body I like. Unfortunetly, I can't get a 1973 Camaro body, but I figure I can throw this paint down on the '68 Camaro body from HPI. The question I have is, how would I go for a flat green color, instead of the shiny body I would get if I painted the car on the inside? I was thinking paint it on the outside, but I figure that will chip/ scrape off easily. Next thought was sanding the outside (paiting the inside) of the body with some fine grit sandpaper to take the shine off the body. Let me know what people think. Also, here's a pic of possibly my favorite car of all time, Hot Rod Magazine's "F-Bomb", and the paint scheme I'm going for.

You could try painting the outside, then coating that with a matte clearcoat for extra protection. Anytime I've painted the outside of a body, I also do at least a light coat on the inside, so if some paint does wear off on the outside there will still be some color left. I've never done a whole race body before though, but I have seen it done on here (Splat! did one painted on the outside here on page 63 of this thread).

Sounds promising. How would I go about doing a matte clearcoat? Again, sorry, all I have done is spray can bodies in the past .

Dude Pegasus makes a similar Camaro body. Also, you could always sand down the body with some 400-600 grit sandpaper. That would give it the look you want. Just don't use anything rougher than that. This is my bashing body.
