I would say I have about 2/3's of the pin left. I'll leave it for another race or so. Those pins are pressed in right? So do you have to replace the whole CVD, or can you just replace the pin and press it in? Thanks alot guys for you responces

i'm using a nontuned grp 21 in my truck. the motor seems kinda flat. i recently put a new clutch on it but all i had was the stock alum and composite shoes with gold and green springs. i kow that the truck came with all alum shoes. could the composite shoes cause it to feel like it doesn't have that normal snap?

Thanks Jammin.....Hey frank L, my tuned GRP .21 is flat on bottom as well. If I put silver springs on new long wear losi shoes, in your opinion how many gallons (if that) would I get on the shoes? Right now Im running the green and gold springs on long wear losi shoes with about 3 or so gallons and to me they dont look very worn at all. I have'nt had to clean them up at all.

i think what i will do is put the grp in my buggy and put the pico evo2 in the truggy. the pico had alittle too much bottom then i liked for a buggy. i will give it a shot and c how it works. worse comes to worse i will switch them back

I have run modded GRP's tuned and non tuned and they all lack torque. You can help this by going to silver springs, but you will eat clutches. Put a 053 pipe and a long header that helps too. Or try a high torque pipe and long header. Thats all I got. The GRP's are always lacking in the torque department.

With all silver I have gone through a set of lightened shoes in a 30 min main with all sliver, but the low end was helped out. You might get 1/2 gallon on them before they get to the 23.4mm measurement, but not much more. I switched to an OS speed and went with king headz 6061 2 green and 2 gold and they wear very very slow. I have over a gallon on this setup and the wear is minimal 24.3-24.4 hardly any wear at all. The speed has plenty of bottom, mid and top end. I love it.

I already have the new long wear losi shoes, so how about four gold with them, that might be a little better huh? And how often do you guys change out the springs? Is it just every time you replace the shoes,or do you reuse the springs. I have always replaced the springs since I have been doin this stuff the last 7 months, but didnt no if it was necessary.
