The problem you are haveing is form the arm support being bent replace that or sometimes you can bend it back and that will fix the problem.

On the 13.5 car, I am switching to the Corally FE to use the Corally wheels but when I assembled the FE it appears the arms are hitting the damper posts on both sides. Anyone have this issue before?

See the attached pic right arm specifically

Thanks

Here is an interesting observation concerning the Rear Bearing Holders on the 12X

For some reason, not known to me yet, there seems to be an abundent supply of the #1 and #3 holders in most people's pitboxes. So why are the #2's being used more often and is this worth going to a aluminun holder? What would be breaking i/o the holder?

Thanks

A few pages back in Dec 2007 a mod was made to the interior bearing holder

http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...ml#post4022906

Did this fix the issue with holders being punched? What other damage was now the result?

Thanks

Specialized RC make Alloy bearing holders. So far I've had nothing but good luck with them.

I can't find them on their website but the part numbers for #1 and #2 bearing holders are: SRC7593010 (#1) and SRC7593020 (#2). Theyère also available in 2.5 and 3 but idonèt have the part numbers handy.

All you need to do is replace the front axles and the rear axle.

Also the US chassis, which is more rigid.
Kinda depends on the griplevel of your track whether you'ld like to use it.

will brushless motor fit in this car and do you use a full size GTB speedo or a smaller speedo like the 4cell gtb. also, could someone suggest steering tierods that will fit. Finally, can the smc 1 cell lipo fit in this car?

Thanks

I understand that the SP12X US Edition takes the standard wheels, but does it come with the Associated front end or the Corally front end?

Also, for those that use the Corally front end how is the ride height adjusted, shims like the Associated or are those screws how it's done?

I am looking at upgrading my 1/12th and since I love my Phi I am interested in Corally's 1/12th.

Thanks,
Jeff Smith

Original US edition came with the Corally front end. Only the wheel axels were different. The kit that comes with AE front is called 12X WC.

In Corally front end ride height is adjusted with three big spacers under/over the steering blocks. With screws you can limit suspension travel. In AE you put spacers between the front lower arms and the chassis.

Hope this helps.

Hi all - Also posted on

http://www.rcracechat.com/vb/showthr...959#post382959

Thanks for all the help on this car!

I finally got it running this past Wed night and had massive Push on power. This was with a 8 pound Center spring and a 1.2mm SP12M FE spring. Basically I could drive straight while turning full right.

I firmly believe the geometry is way off with my build of this Corally FE.

I noticed the following;
With the FE assembled per instructions and with 42mm fr tires I bottom out the spring collar on the damper tube leaving the spring unloaded and causing ride height issues. 2ndly, With the 2mm spacer below the damper tube removed I can get spring loaded but my ride height goes way up above 7mm with all shims under the steering block. The camber at this position without outer springs adjusted is almost 0.

There must be something I am doing fundamentally wrong.

3rdly, how can you seperate the 12X FE springs when they make 3.0, 3.25, 3.5, 3.75 and 4.0 turns? Whats the secret?

Thanks in advance

Here is an update of what I found. pics are above

1) Left Setup per the manual, 2mm spacer under damper tube, 4.5mm x 1.8mm o-ring over spacer, 12X spring, 42mm front tire and all spacers under steering block. Had to add a thin 0.8mm shim under spring collar to get tension on the spring. Ride height 4.5mm

2) Right setup, no 2mm spacer, 0.8mm shim under arm but damper tube is flush with chassis, no spacer under spring collar, 42mm tire, ride height 4.5mm with outer spring adjustments needed.

3rd pic is the 2mm spacer + O-ring on left side.

I noticed the 12M springs fit fit with manual setup but 12X springs are shorter thus not able to add tension to the spring.
