I'll claim it as most 'per capita' given that there are probably more people just in Tennessee than all of Australia!

WARNING! NERD CONTENT IN THIS POST!!!
Actually, based on a national per capita rating, the Australian event was far better attended then the US event. If you look at percentage of population attending each event, it goes like this: Australia 0.0001%, USA 0.00002%.
Incidentally, the weekly attendance of minis at my club is between the two other numbers at 0.00006%. We are mini based, however, so our numbers are somewhat skewed compared to other events.

Tony,
39 Mini entries is quite a bunch, but I believe that the Memphis, Tennessee Tamiya TCS of 2008 holds the record for most Minis. There were 68 Minis
, we ran 12 cars to a heat and in the mains. Check out the results and TCS pictures at
We run all the Mini entries in the main for club races (which has gone as high as 16 entries). Our series, the Memphis Mini Cup, also runs a 15 minute main.
It is like Mini Heaven.......

I went to a race last weekend at New Jersey Motorsports Park I was the only one running a Mini.

We flew in for the weekend, and even with all the rain (and the rained out TCS event) there were two FULL HEATS of Mini's that rain in the short, non-rainy, non-TCS event from late morning through early afternoon.

It sucked, the organizer put me in the gt touring class. My stock mini didn't stand a chance. I got put a lap down in two laps I was a moving chicane.
I'm half tempted to go to the Glen Burnie Tamiya race. That is only two and a half hours from me.

DO IT!!!
Great folks, great venue, no silver can RPM limits and Plenty O' Mini's.
Come down the day before and do the club race with us, then stay overnight (plenty of inexpensive but decent hotels in the area) so you can get cranking early Sunday morning.

Most of the guys on here Leonard would have a 20 hour+ flight to attend Mini 50!
But now that the Vic Titles are over we're right into Mini 50 mode ourselves. Entries are filling up nicely (mid 40's right now) and we're just finalising the last few details or what we have to do. Your good friend Tim is in charge of the trophies... All hand crafted, no plastic on a stick for Mini 50!
And more swine flu in Victoria than you can ask for! Ha Ha Ha....
