I push down and let it rebound myself. Seems to me this would be a more "real world" ride height. Also make sure you measure behind the front kick up.

Drake says "drop it from four to six inches off the ground," so that's what I do.

This video features the buggy, but you get the idea. Ride height adjustment starts about 3 minutes in:

The metal particles coming off the shafts must be what is deteriorating the fluids faster than what it should.

Anybody else had a similar issue or noticed wear on their bevel shafts?
I'm sure someone will come on a just say it's a consumable item and get used to it 3 meetings was the norm for my 1.0, not just 1
I havent noticed the bevel shafts wearing but i have been wearing out the shims in the diff cups, and trust me when i say wear out i mean my shim now looks like a 6 x 7mm shim. i have rebuilt my diffs as often as i did in my 8T and i neverhad a problem in the old style cups.

Im begining to get really pissed at Losi. they have finally fixed there plastics but now all there metals are wearing really quick

ive already had to replace driveshaft pins, axles, cvd coupler pins, cvd pins, and now the shims are wearing out in the diffs
i never once had to replace a shim in the diff of my old cars and no body i have spoken to has ever had to replace the diff shims in any other brand car.

I have to agree with you there bud

My driveshaft pins are looking decidedly worn. 3 months use in this car and i'm seeing wear that would have took 12 months in the old car.

I really love driving the losi, but a couple of times this week, I seriously thought, why don't I get rid and buy a MBX6T as this diff problem is really peeing me off.
Hopefully picking up new shafts and gears today, so we'll see if that cures it.

You may find its a sign of the times as metal these days seems to be of lesser quality than a few years ago and I had the xray 808 and that was wearing real fast to in the dog pins and the cvds...you may find the mugen is just as bad..did have the mbx5t breifly so cant comment on its wear...

you may be right.
but no other car on the market is completely wearing out a diff shim in 3 gallons of racing

i love my losi and ill never change.
but i have already replaced all the dogbone pins with mugan ones and they last heaps longer
i have been re-running my tests on my lightweight driveline gear and at the moment my aluminium axles are lasting almost as long as the losi steel axles.
i have pulled the axles out om my old cars and put them into my truggy now.
i have even noticed that the spur and pinions are wearing alot quicker than my origional 8T did. i have already had to reset the rear diff accross
all i have to do now is find a different brand shim for inside the diff cups and hopefully ill have some quality back in my car

it just really pisses me off that they went to the effort of changing the plastics to improve durability but slipped so far so quickly on the metals

I have 5-6 gallons on my 2.0 and I think it wears a lot less quickly than the 1.0 did. There is no slop in the steering or font end. All the diffs are ok, I am running smart diffs f/c. The only real complaint I have is in the initial build from losi and this truck has consumed 6 throttle servos so far, buy I think a local losi driver pointed me in the right direction. I have cracked almost every aka rim I have run on the truck, that may be aka that may be losi idk. But overall I have to say this truck is a huge improvement over the 1.0 and I love it. Idk what you guys are doing to blow diffs up so quickly, most drivetrain bearings do need a change after a gallon or so and at a buck a piece for protek or avid it's good insurance to prevent the horrid dnf. Anyway my losi has been good to me but I do maintenence meticously and after every race day. Now that I have said this the truck will prob spontaneously combust at the next race hehe ohh well as long as I am still having fun.

So what was the issue with you killing 6 throttle/brake servos?! That's expensive! I followed the special linkage set up instructions they included to the letter...is there something else?

Epas are set and. Even started using the rubber garments. 2 hitec 7965's 2 jr9100s's and 2 9100t's. They have all been covered under warranty but it is a real pain in the a$$. The last was a 9100t it appeared to be hitting the side mud guard. Whee is this letter on set up is it in the instruction manuel? The linkage does not bind I think it's hittng the chassis somehow. I am gong to shim it higher. Idk but it's gettig very annoying. Any tips are appreciated.

You don't really need the shims inside the diff. I don't run them.
