Do you know if he was making 5 minutes? Would be interesting to know what the fuel consumption is like with this engine, given the new 7 minute EFRA races.

Default 353 09

Hi, can any one please confirm for me if the 353 09 IS in fact a long stroke motor. What would be the best pipe/header combo for this engine. Pipes I already have are the 2630 and 2602, but i only have short conical headers. What would be the best combo for a large tech high grip track. Thanks in advance

Square stroke: stroke = boring
Long stroke: stroke > boring (more torque , less rpm)
short stroke: stroke < boring (more RPM, less torque) (never seen these engines for RC racing)

All NR engines are ABC

Last weekend we had our 1st national and I must say the Flash is a very nice engine to have. A friend was using some pipes and the 2015 did work better for him than the 2052 but others I have seen using the 2052.

The Flash is a very nice engine. Compared to the 35+21 the Flash has a little less torque, with slightly more peak HP. It feels like a cross between the 359, and a 35+21. The 35+21 could feel too aggressive out of the hole sometimes. I do not get that feeling with the Flash. The Flash is also better on fuel consumption than the 35+21.

It's the new Novarossi Pipe, wich is designed for the 353'09.
You can find it on the Novarossi site!!

Another very good pipe for the 353 is the Mielke 2624. it makes a bit more runtime(20-30 sec.) then the Nova 2652.

The 2652 is a 3 chamber pipe which was developed for the new EFRA regulations which were supposed to come in effect this year.
Due to the horrible experiences 8th scale racers made last year with these 3 chamber pipes, EFRA postponed the introduction of these pipes indefinitely.

In other words, stay away from it.
