If this has been discussed somewhere I apologize.
Has anyone tried the HPI Cup Racer bodies on a M03 chassis?
The specs show the wheelbase of the chassis to be from 210mm to 225mm and that track from 162mm to 188mm.
The bodies are a Datsun 240Z and a Toyota Levin AE86.

My mini drives rather ok for the moment, but haven't tried the combination with swaybars.
In other words, do the swaybars make the shocks function differently?
I guess I'll find out but any info is mucho apreciated.

Different gears. M-01 used Tamiya pn 50631, M-03 uses pn 50794. If you do a google search, you will find that the m-01 gears are still available through a lot of online retailers, but they are getting a bit pricey.
Pictures are attached...first picture are the m-01/02 gears, second picture is m-03/04 gears.

I don't know if you can really say they are a must. I ran them for a while and took them off as they were hindering my car more than helping. The key thing is to limit travel in the dampers. Mine are set to bottom out just before the chassis touches the floor, with very little droop and the thing handles like it's on rails.

Probably about 5mm worth inside under the piston, and 1 o-ring outside. Your shocks will probably take a little more or less on the inside though. Every car is set up a little differently. I'm also running a shorter tire.
Experiment with your setup by building the shocks dry and test fitting before filling them with oil.

You will find that very rarely would you want to turn lock to lock. I've got my steering tuned down to between 65% and 75% on my track. The track is 48' x 60' and is usually a fairly tight road course.

hi guys,
for m03R, the rear upright, got 2 holes, any different in handling? if using the lower hole? currently using top hole
the was a post mentioning about front upright, where using the inner hole will make the car easy to drive...
