Hey guys... Im wondering if anyone knows where can I get the underhead gasket that the 353 and the Nova 12-SCT has?
This is the part:
NOVAROSSI O-Rings (1pcs) for underhead [29602]
The only place I have seen it in stock is www.the-border.com... I was wondering if anyone has seen it in a USA or HK shop... Border shipping is $15 for just this oring... Thanks in advanced.

Hey, just got a quick question. I got a Novarossi 3SCT-Tuned and it has had about 2-3L through it, includes Break in and 2 race meets, and i was checking the rod for play and there still isnt any but should i change the rod, im asking this because i dont know if the break-in damages the rod or weakens it.
Thanks

Hi everyone,
I have recently purchased two plus 12-3sct's from my lhs. I opened them for checking the internals, and;
saw some tiny spots on top of piston in both of them
a slight stratch on the side of the piston, and slightly gritty feel on the front bearing in one of them.
these things I have mentioned are very little, but I got nervous.
their production year is 2007.
Can they lead to an issue in future? Im going to use them in nationals this year.
Sorry for bad english...
thanks for the replies.

When you have play in the conrod, it's actually too late. The "wobbling" rod will wear out your crank pin quickly.
Also, the condition of a rod is not really visible by the fit of the lower journal.
The metal of the rod can be weakened and make it break.
I would rather change it and be on the safe side.

Guys,
Been running nova engines for a while now, and I've never had to change the conrod in them. In my experience, the bearings will wear out first before you need to replace anything. By that stage, it's probably cheaper buying a new one anyway. Re: 2630 pipe. Maybe a little thirsty, but I can still make 5 mins easy on a big track (Brendale, Australia) with a Plus12-3sct Tuned, even more on my smaller home track. The stock 07 353 will give you incredible mileage, but I prefer the 3sct. More grunt, and top end is just as good. However, the 353 09 looks pretty trick.

I was looking on novarossi website for part numbers for replacement piston and sleeve for r1wsc2008 motor and it appears that all the parts are exactly the same as the 321p motor except the piston sleeve part number
Same crank, bearings, connecting rod, case, button etc.
Looks like the 321p is an 8port motor versus 7port for wcs.
What is everyone experience with the 321p looks to be a couple years older?
Would you consider the swap to 321p p/s?
Thanks
Jamie

Hey Jamie:
You can't go wrong with the 321 motor it's excellent! I have ran a few over the years and they are very powerful. They have lots of torque and midrange. You will be very happy with this piston and sleeve replacement!

wow, thats Black, you must have tuned the motor to race speck, cause if thats only running in, then that piston should be still shinny, what your piston looks like there is how my pistons look after a big race event not when im running a motor in. see if the black carbon on the Piston just wipes away with a rag, if it dose then you are using a good quality fuel, if it needs polish to remove, then the piston is running dry and the Caster in the fuel is baking on the Head of the Piston.

Hi there!
I have two unused engines here:
35 plus 21 Collari
and
Collari Cordoba version
Are they similar in performance or is one more biased on torque and the other more on revs? Which one is better for a track with a very long straight?
Thanks for your feedback!
