You just need a female radio plug. In a pinch you can head down to the hobby shop and pick up a servo extension. Any shop that deals in plains and helicopters will have them. It will have a mail and female end on it. Just cut the wire and strip for a cheap charge lead.
15 out of 23 racers at our track have been running the SMC 1S lipo with either 13.5 or 17.5 motors. All the rest say they will switch after the Nats.
The Novak 4cell and Havok both work without boosters. The Speedpassion LPF works without boosters. The Tekin RS currently needs a booster, but the next software should make it work without the booster. The Tekin is by far the favorite at our track. The JR servos seem to run slow without a booster so I'll run one either way. The Futaba 9650 users don't seem to notice as much, but still a bit slower.
If you are allowed to run the Lipo, do it.
If it were legal to charge a lipo in the car, A person running 13.5 could plug in and charge immediatly after thier heat, before going to turn marshall as there is no heat in the battery at all.
The best estimate is that the 13.5 is around .2 seconds a lap faster than 17.5 4 cell and the 17.5 lipo is .6 slower. (no weight added)
Gearing is a bit higher than were used to.

I have found out since my first post that the SMC single cell lipo seems to be on intergalactic back order right now. Looks like they will be out of stock for most everyone till mid feb.

I think he means Italy. Xceed doesn't make tires, they just get tires from other manufacturers. I'm running the Jaco made Xceeds right now. These are made in Italy probably using the exact same foam as Jaco, just a different wheel and different assembler.
Aren't GRP from Italy? Is this foam GRP? Or is there an actual company called ITA? I'm curious because since Parmas aren't GRP anymore, just wondering who will be importing GRP foam.
If ITA is it's own, how are the compounds rated and what are they equivalent to?

Yes GRP's are made in Italy but there are several other manufacturers as well.
I suspect these will have the same foam as Jaco just a different wheel but I don't know for sure.
There are really own three types of foam (each type in various shore ratings) used for RC. It's all the same rubber, just comes in different rating systems and wheels.

I know it is all down to personal choice, but I am looking to get into 12th and been offered one of two cars... a BMI 12r and a RC12 R5.....
I know the layout is pretty much the same.... but just wanted some UNBIAS!!! opinions hehehee
Many thanks

No such thing, if you've never owned or driven either you cannot form any real opinion. If you have owned or driven both then your opinion will be just that your opinion baised on your experience, which by defination will be bias. Go with the BMI.
