got to race my new .24 last night. WOW, on a large indoor high traction track I had plenty of power to clear every jump and very controllable. I was able to TQ and win, after running for 30 minutes straight, and by far having the fastest truck down the straight away, The motor temped at 160. Awesome motor and I am very impressed!

is there a temp. that should be a minimum? To get proper metal expansion so you dont prematurely wear out the engine. Other racers would have told me that 160 is too low and to add aluminum tape to block some of the fins on the head. to get it around 190+. thanks

no offense ...niether do i ...but i have never seen ANY nitro motor that runs good temping at 160 degrees after a main .....but hey the extech .24 may be the only one that does ...one things for sure ...i will find out when mine comes back from powerhouse rc performance .....i would imagine the motor will probably temp at 180-220 range on a good race tune ...after a long main ...i know for a fact that the grp motors dont run well if temp goes any higher than 210 .....i hope mine could win a race temping at 160 ...i will run this motor for 2 years without touching it if it does .....

hey zixxer i ran a .21 all last year and it would come off the track after a 20 min main(not fast engough for the 60 min lol) about 190 on average and if i ran it above 210 it started to feel too lean and hard to drive. it definatle has low temps like the old ops engine i used to run.
