i think i said it a few pages back.. its cheaper because we don't have to pay Ed's salary and shipping to & from his shop.. this was a big expense each month.. now the consumer can benefit.. Nothing has changed as far as the way there built. If anything the fully modified engines will be closer in tolerance from engine to engine because of our manufacture's high $$ CNC machines and there strive to make the best products. Also, the finish on the new modified engines are absolutely awesome.. If you didn't know what you were looking for, you could not tell it has been modified.

The last part of this year, I was running the stocker. My first big race in 2009 is the P.N.B. I think the straight is 280 feet.. I will be running the FM there

Also each engine that is sold, is inspected and broken in by me.. I stand by my work and if there is a problem, I will fix it, if you send a engine in, I will make sure it gets back to you..

thanks.. see you all in "09"

Performance wise, what can one expect between the RP and FM versions? If I'm not mistaken, I believe I've read in the past that the powerband is smoother on the FM, more or less taking away a little on the bottom, but giving a little more on top? Just want to be sure this is correct. Thx Chad

all trinity motors are pre broken in? does this mean i need to maybe do 2 soft tanks and I could run it...and also what's the best way to describe the engines powerband in regards to how a vspec feels?...I am sure this has been asked before but I was just wondering...I like what I see and things go right I may be trying a trinity extech out in the future

Frank- I have asked the same Q, havn't gotten a definitive answer. I would guess the E.T pipe is modeled after the Sirio and probably offers similar performance. I have the Sirio 2056 and will try it if I do race this Sun. I will report back if I go.

Chris- I have approx 4 Gal through mine before outdoor season waned off. At my last race, I had a weird issue. The silicone filler on the crank came off. I suspect something I did while cleaning it, or maybe the fuel I used...not too sure. I havn't had a chance to run it more since I got it back from Chad though. I do believe it still has more life in it and may have a chance to run indoors this coming Sun. I'll report back if I do go.

NL- There are 3 versions of the .21.
1) {TRI40060} Bone stock. Nothing has been done and complete user break-in is necessary.

2) {TRI40064}Race Prep -
Matched piston and sleeve.
Flow tested carburetor.
Blueprinted.
Broken in.
Tuned Dyno tested.
Dyno printout with 2 pipe options.

3) {TRI40066} Full Mod -
Fully Modified Engines are blueprinted and hand assembled to guarantee precision parts fit, longest engine life and best possible performance. The exact same procedure as the Race Prepped engines except the following changes have been made to offer more usable rpm and power.

Connecting Rod is machined on Mill to be lightened, and then treated to strengthen and eliminate machining stresses.
Piston is lightened on Milling Machine while maintaining strength and integrity.
Crankshaft has undergone extensive R&D testing with different ratios of balance between the Crankshaft, Piston, and Rod assembly. All this testing has helped develop a lighter better-balanced crankshaft, while keeping proper crankshaft inertia for a smoother idle.
Port Timing has been adjusted to offer a more proportional feel across the bottom-end with a noticeable increase in the Mid and Upper rpm power. Usable rpm range is increase from 40,000rpm to 45,000rpm over stock

I have never run a VSpec, so I can't compare. But I'm sure there are a few here that have. I have the RP version from last year. As noted above, I've got approx 4 Gal on it and have been very pleased. Crazy bottom, good pull all through the powerband with a 2013, slightly less runtime...I could get about 8 mins on a tank. With a 57, bottom was smoother, and I got a bit more on top + much better mileage. I was pushing 9+ mins at my local track in buggy.

Alessi, coming to RCX Sunday?

frank - when we tested the big boy vs the 2056.. big boy was burning about 10cc per minute, 2056 11-12cc per minute. powerband very close.. we have a few 2056 in stock and after were out, we will only carry the big boy..

Chris - Randy and Colby Poh have been getting 6+ gallons with the fully mod racing at Rev. in Ca.. I think that is really good considering the track is big and fast.

Nitro - I am breaking in the 2.0's slower and easier than before.. I changed the instructions a bit.. I reccommend 4 tanks rich before going hog wild.. fast break in can cause premature wear on the rod bushing.
