Joe, is that on pavement? 'Cause it was 75 deg here last week and I ran mine in the street with the Extech No. 5 plug, tuned just a little rich for the new fuel, and I couldn't get it over 170. For me that usually means 200 or so on the track, which is what I see a lot of guys saying. Some engines run cool, the heads are so good now, Extech seems to be one of them.

Not with these engines that is on the hot side you have to rember with a head the size they are on these engines they run cooler we usaly run them 180-195 and have more power then you can ask for.

Trever, You have to take into concideration that you are in Huntington Beach and I assume race at local SoCal tracks where the air tempurature is significantly cooler then it is out here in the AZ. I just got back from Sidewinder and my engine ran about 15 degrees cooler then it did here at home. I have no doubt that that your engine work amazing at 180-195. Most engines just run a little hotter out here.

Not completly true as Colby Poh and me run for club racing at revlation in ontario witch during the sumer is easly 100+ and the engines run at that temp that they do with it cooling doen now they are runing from 180-195 as always when it gets colder they run in the same range for the most part runing them in the 220 range it like runing a engine with a smaler hear over 260 witch as well take's life out of the engine as we have doen a lot of testing with these engines.
We were at sidewinder race as well Colby Kinwalds and my engines all ran about the same range but at that track our engines run cooler then at any other track around mine was in the 170-175 range.
