Another new pipe might be in order, would you say the 2056 has a smooth bottom and midrange Chad?

Chad i bought 2 of the fully modded Ex-Tech 21's .. the one in my buggy runs great. however i put the second one in a truggy and it broke a con-rod on its 2nd race day... if never over-reved or went WOT out of control.. it just broke in warm up at the Reedy race.. Is there anything that can be done?? i bought them about a 2 or so months ago and never really got to run teh one that broke...

Well fook. I had the LHS order Trinity #5 turbo plugs for me last week, they told me today they're back ordered. Same at A-main. Looks like Trinity may have them in stock, but the 2 weeks they want me to allow for delivery puts me right on the race I need them for. Anybody know where else I can get them? Barring that, which O'd plug is comparable to the #5? Trinity website says the OD97T is comparable to the #6. LHS has a bunch of O'd plugs, just don't know which would be closest.

If you can't find any #5 ExTech plugs, I would go with the OS P4 turbo plug.

I ran the ExTech .21 pre-run with 2056 pipe for the first time. Runs great, broad powerband from top to bottom. Couldn't get the temp above 180's with a P4 plug, the outside temp was around 48 degrees. It had so much power and a good idle I didn't want to lean it any more. Also, it seemed a little oily around the base of the carb which attracted dirt. Does anyone do something to seal the carb up, I've read of some using a small amount of silicone sealer at the carb base. I figured if it really needed that EB would have done it.

Ran the North Carolina state championships on Saturday at W.C.R.C. Qualified 3rd and finished 5th with the X-tech. You couldn't pass us on their monster straight. I also had the fastest lap of the day in qual's. Still loving the X-tech!!!!

Anyone using an O.S. P3 plug. Temps are getting in the 40's in my area, I'm thinking of trying a P3 if it's not too hot. The P4 runs good but it's hard to get the temp up.

Congrats, cdbias.

So is it O.K. to run in the 170's? I just can't get any more heat out of it. I was thinking about wrapping the head with something to lessen the cooling effect, hopefully getting the temp up to 200. Other than that it runs great, has tons of power and a good idle.
