Well I currently run the 2630 with the short manifold and I also have a no name pipe and manifold that looks alot like the RB pipe mentioned so I will do some test this weekend and see what I find. I am thinking to get another 2630 and a 2601 both Novarossi pipes. as they seem to be what everyone is talking about with power and fuel being the idea's.

I have been getting 7.5 minutes of run time with my NS12 TS1 at our club races.

Motor has great power also. Bottom end is good, but not like a more expensive mod motor and such.

I love the thing. For the price you can't beat it.

We run on a parking lot track with soda pop for traction compound.

Kyosho RRR WC with RD Logics Pipe.

the RB 2604 and Nova rossi 2601 is the same pipe.

the is not so much power in them as the is in the 2630
but more runtime.

I just got my first novarossi engine it's a 35plus cordoba. When I started looking at it I noticed it has flathead screws holding the backplate and headbutton on.I hate flathead screws and have no idea why novarossi does this.Anybody ever change them for hex heads? Also the motor has a three speed carb. How do these three needle carbs tune up?

Yes you can replace the screws.

The three needle carb is no different than any other carb if you leave the third one alone. The third one being the spray bar (usually called a midrange needle). It really does not need to be adjusted and is best left alone unless you really know how to do it.

You can order the Tony's Screws kit for the Novarossi engine.

hi there i've being thinking about getting a max xxl3, i already asked in the max xxl3 thread and they said that the max was the best one even against the novarossi 3sct or 353, maybe they right, since the xxl3 it's a novarossi based one, but isn't it the 353 or 3sct with more advanced technologi than the xxl3. from what i've heard the engine manufacturer presume about their long stroke, from that point of view the 353 and the 3sct have longer stroke so i think that makes a better engine to those pure novarossi.

no really go for a novarossi, there is more technology in the nova engines, and also the max looks like it has a nova shaft but different sleeve, and again the novarossis sleeves look better

The Max engines are based on Novarossi engines and are produced by Novarossi.

The MF versions are then modified by Massimo Fantini.

It is based on a 12 "PLUS" Novarossi engine, it is similar to a 353 but with a 11.5mm diameter crank.

Default head clearance for 353

anyone know whats the actual head clearance for a 353? is it the same as the 3sct, ie 0.3mm + 0.3mm?

if thats the case, it should be safe to not add anymore shims for 25% nitro right? even if you add 0.1mm of shimming, isnt it a bit too much, ie 0.7mm? top end will suffer?
