I know this is non-related ExTech question, and I apoligize for that, don't wish to cause controversy or give anyone a heart attack.
That said, do you guys know where I can find what pipe does what?? I mean I know a 63 is low end and a 86 is top, but if I'm not mistaken those are EFRA numbers, what happens to the rest? Do they have an EFRA equivalent number or what??

quick comment on the ex tech - I raced against and pitted for 3 people this past weekend that were running them.....

Fully Modified 21 in Buggy - wow...easily the fastest car on the track...not even close...it made vspecs look like they were going backwards

Fully Modified 24 in truggy - brutally fast...incredible power, good powerband....it was thirsty though...5 1/2 minutes was the limit (running very rich however)

Regular 24 in truggy - very impressive, but the fully modified one was definately quite a bit stronger

2 of the people did appear to have some issues with fouling plugs and flameouts...I have heard some switch out the carbs to an OS or an RB though...they are definately serious, serious motors..no doubt about that

I got 2 of the fully modded .21's and WOW what a screamer.. given i only ran 5 tanks but this motor is really quick... i own a OS Speed, a standard v-spec and a picco evo 2 and this motor has more raw power than any of those motors.. the speed is a little smoother IMO but so far im more than happy with this motor...

I did have 1 problem with 1 of the motors, it had a bad carb. the slide was stuck it wont open at all.. i got a spare sirio carb to run for now.. if i send it back will trinity replace it? or fix it??

Hey people,

I have read the thread and thought I would take the plunge. I currently have 2 GRP's, OS Ninja and an OS 28 for my XT8 and 808.

I just ordered the Extech fully modded, no 5 glowplugs, 7 mm venturi and 2057 exhaust. I'm looking for an engine that has a smooth bottom end and revs to the moon as I drive on extremely loose tracks in Victoria and my club track is 60m (200 ft) X 40m (130 ft). I find the 808 loose in the rear out of the hole and I'm hoping this will be the ticket. I need 10 mins + run time as State Qualifiers are 10 mins.

Any tips with this engine - Running in, checking bearings at X litres etc. It would be greatly appreciated.

Doe the Trinity clutch system work with stock XRay clutch bells as they are 16 tooth stock and what is the flywheel diameter as the XRay is 33mm which is an odd size. If I go bigger it will protrude through the chassis and cause flameouts on hard landings or if it smaller I may not be able use it with the bump box.

Cheers.

As far as the clutch setup I can't help as I run something differently. The motor requires no special attention other than about 30 minutes of run in working the throttle lightly and rich, after that you can put a race tune on it. As far as your 808 let me know what your diff oils are and I can help with setup.
