Hey Todd, (Team Chambers)
After pitting for you at the Twister, and watchin' your truck, listening to it, the idle, all that, I AM SOLD!!! on the .24 Extech, my sis and Dad both bought them as well. Im going to sell all of my trucks, maxxs, savages, Losi everything, and get me the new 2.0, and the .24 is goin in there too! Such a pimp motor, and this thread is only helping me choose!
BTW, Tear em' up at Phoenix!

I just got in a back up .24 pre run from A-main yesterday.
As far as My flight / trip to phoenix..Well they told me over the phone it was okay, at check in okay....40 minutes prior to boarding they said no go as the possible residue of fuel in the tank, lines and motor may ignite..whatever.
See ya at the trac...Wise choice on your future new set-up that new 2.0 looks hooked up on the track.

Go to your LHS and get some "Piano Wire" in the correct diameter. It is usually in 2 foot sections and just cut and bend to size. It is used by the airplane guys for thier linkages.

Just opend up the ET .24 PR and with the glow out it seems to have a higher than normal slop at TDC. It moves about 1/16 of a turn plus when at top dead center. If you have the fly wheel on and look at the clutshoe pin and turn the flywheel, it moves 1/2 to 3/4 of an "Hour"
I do not recall any other motor I have purchased having that much slop including my last .24 ET pre-run motor. In fact the one with 3 gallons I have doesn't have that much now, in fact it has no noticable slop at all !!!!
Just wondering if anyone else seems to have that much slop in there motors that they recently received.
Got a PM into Chad, I am sure he will handle it appropriately for me.

I did the same thing. thought something was wrong with the motor. motor is slop free with the plug in and idles better than any motor I have ever run. Now that have everything sealed up it's got power everywhere. took me a while to get the feel of how it likes to be tuned, but it's a MF FM 24 beast now!! I can't wait to get it on big track so it can stretch it's legs!!

Agreed on the best motor part. I did not seal my current motor and have had no tuning problems per say. I am sealing this one up everywhere and I bet I get better run times as I can probably restrict the fuel flow a bit more.
Still getting 8 + min with a jp-3 and a long header. My Bigboy is on b/o from my LHS.
