REEDY .21 Nitro Engine

I may have this wrong but the carb actually looks closer to the crank case to me, and on larger engines the shorter the run the better high RPM performance

It is closer and the reason for the design (and the bolt on carb is very reliable.)

When I said farther from the crankcase I meant farther from the cylinder part of the block, not farther from the crankshaft. In other words, there is plenty of room for the exhaust manifold spring.

I've always liked the bolt on carb on my Fox airplane engines. It's more reliable than the standard airplane two-opposed-setscrews setup (which I've had fail), and I'd expect it to distort things less than the standard car pinch bolt setup.

and...Thunder Tiger has been making airplane engines for a number of years now....technology does transfer over once in a great while

Ah! Yes I need as much room as possible

I like how you can see the head bolts through the cooling fins, this may mean more airflow over the glow plug similar to the orion crf design ??

The engine head is not the final design. From what I've seen, the new design is even more clean and functional.

This is true. Not only will the final head version look great, it will provide exceptional efficient cooling.

Hey guys

I saw Ryan Maifield did realy well with the new RC8T at the Manufacturers Cup race in Idaho this weekend, I noticed he was using the new reedy engine I assume it was a .21 ?

Just Curious any how congrats to Ryan
