Would you be able to help?

After break in take the two shims out that came in the engine and put the single one in that comes extra.

I got this motor when it came out and lemme tell you i still love it. I barely ever have to touch the needles and it runs solid 230-240 and gets 11 min a tank.

Just my long term review. It's S'easy. Not the fastest motor out there but still fast.

Hi Guys,

just got a Reedy and am about to run it in.....

any tips or pointers to do or keep an eye out on?

and i have a couple of pipes to choose from my existing stuff and was wondering what you would recommend?

Go 2072
Go 0801
Go 2053
Novarossi 9901

i've seen a new AE pipe 2039 would that give a better top end than the 2035?

any feed back or info would be great!!!

Mike

If you read the press release about the new Reedy pipes they state the 2035 is for ground ripping bottom end where as the 2039 will help up top. As for your existing pipes, I'm not too familiar with what # pipe is good for what, Just remember the longer the pipe the more bottom end it will produce. The shorter the pipe the more top end you'll get. The 2035 pipe which i just recently got, is one of the longest pipes I've seen it runs almost the entire length of the side dirt guards on my RC8B.

I haven't tried it personally, but a local racer did and the car looked strong everywhere. He didn't comment on comparisons to anything else, but it sounded strong and power band looked good from trackside.

Hello there Guys. I was curious what kind of run times everyone is getting with the 7mm restrictor?? I know my tune is pretty damn rich right now but I would like to get an Idea. I just ran in a big local race this weekend and I maybe got 7mins and change. I'm running about 240 at race pace and it feels really good. When I try to adjust either needle at this point the power seems to drop off so I tend to go back to where I'm at. Let me know. OH for reference I believe I'm at about 2 turns out from bottom on the top needle and in about a half from flush on the low.

Just play with your bottom end, the top end is very touchy. I'll be at the track next Saturday if you need anything.
