Default Brushless EPA Question

I want to run a 4.5 novak velocity light in a T4 but i am worried it will be too much sometime so if i turned down the Throttle epa will i need to change gear ratios and does it damage the motor?

And if it matters i will be running a GTB and 3pk with it

I recomend you start by running the Novak recomended gear ratio in your T4. And no, turning down the throttle epa will not hurt the motor at all. Link to Novak gear recomendation chart:http://www.teamnovak.com/tech_info/b...r_gearing.html By the way, GTB & 3PK, good choice.

no need to change gear ratio .all you are really doing is limiting top speed.however the esc may get slightly warmer as you will be running at part throttle instead of full throttle.the esc does a little more work at part throttle,at least that was the teory back in the day ,it might have changed some with brushless motors.i used to turn the epa down on my mamba back in the day,no worries.
