I remember at nurenburg (I think last year) there was a prototype (or mock up) V-twin sirio engine on display. Was it a fake and only for display? Or, Is it slated for production? It looks like a cool looking concept for a truggy or MT

On www.rc-junkies.net you can find the pics and photo's taken from the back you can see someting brass from a sleeve but in the other there is nothing. Others say if you look closely you will see it is painted an maybe it is a wooden model.

Fake or not, it would be awesome to see a working one.

A v-twin nitro engine would not only be cool, but a must have. It might not perform better than other motors, but it would definitely be cool. I will be looking into this further and hope they actually come out with one. If I was a better machinist or knew someone that could make the block and crank for me, I would have one already. This is something I have talked about for a little while now.

I would have probaly gone with the inline design with one head for easier packaging, but that's just me. It is a neat idea, though.

i forget exactly why but i talked to brian kinney about it and he told me.

I know the induction window on the crank would be right for one but really messed up on the other, the case hasa huge footprint and special mount.

The cilinders are almost on the same line so maybe the 2 conrods are sharing the same big-end. Because the V shape the pistons are not moving equal so you only can use a small cranktiming and not forgetting at some times in a round the fuel will gat a push-pull to the other cilinder.

Thats why it should not work....
