Go-Tech Engines Thread

Hey it's me with .25 6port. I got through two tanks of break through but I couldn't find an idle. Had to mess with the needles just to get a good temp. I know every mill is different no matter what manufacture. The needles are a rough estimate in settings. When I finish my break in what is the highest temp I should see (on the box still)? Thanks for the input.

well i took my trip around my first dirt oval in a 1/8 late model in the "limited" class. First time out i had the fastest lap and all day of open practice i was just distancing myself from the pack. Come to find out at teh end of the day, my Go 3 Port Race was illegal for limited racing, even though it fit the rule book of 3 port under $200
Are Go's too fast???? I think so
running a Mugen MBX5 with Go 3R started with go plug but it fouled and switch to a O.S. A3??? i think. Was only running 250* and was killing the RB's and nova down the straights

Is that the .25, or the .28? I think I heard that the .25 was better? What about fuel mileage? At the Nats, fuel mileage will be important, which is why I really wanted the 5 port.

the owner hates loosing....
the rule states any 3 port produciton engine under $200 or modified to the point of $200
the owner of the track runs the same division and wins every week and thats all it is.
I think i need a full ride sponsorship, if my local track tells me im too fast lol!!!!!
well, ill put on a nova head and go blister them tomorrow and let you know

that will piss them off.C.Branch, yes the .25 the .28 is a handfull and Im not seeing the runtimes like the .21, but the .25 is there if not the same as the 5 port. I have heard of 9.40 out of a .25 i did for Phil Sanders, that was at motorama and nitroblast, not sure what T Mizz is getting.

The 3 port Race Spec does have 2 bypass ports, they aren't actually counted as ports though so you should be legal.
A few years ago we had a similar problem with a track owner with stock electric, basically the owner wanted to sell more motors. I bet if your track owner sold Go motors they would be legal.

Hey guys, im haveing alot of trouble getting my 5pt to turn over in my 8ight. It seems as if the pinch is so extreme my starter box just locks up everytime the piston gets to the top of the sleave. I have wraped it up in foil, heated to 260, backed to glow plug out, tried it with the break in shim and with out, and my box has plenty of power. I have been messing with it all day long and im about to freak out. any help would be appreciated.
