Go-Tech Engines Thread
#2011
SqueegUK- I've run both engines you suggested in my Truggy at the Silver State race a couple of weeks ago. From what you described, my suggestion is to go for the .25 with an .086 pipe because if your buddies are running big blocks, this set up will be close to theirs. In regards to runtime, the .25 will not disappoint you. This is an awesome engine with tons of power. I used a Dynamite pipe. I like them a lot. Not too pricey and perform well. Hope this helps.

i ran my 3 port race this past weekend, and all i have to say is wow! I ran it in my mugen truggy, to run sportsman (3 port motor under 200) and i was doggin the competition. If it wouldnt have been for a radio problem, i would have won by a big gap. I ran the Vantage CF bottom end pipe and that thing rips until the CF breaks at the seams. I finished the weekend with a Dynamite 086. Great engine.
P.S. Team driver Chris Pace helped me alot with it.

SqueegUK hi there im running .25 go engine and man does it put power down im using dynamite 053 pipe and it seems to be pretty good thru the power also run a .21 5 port turbo go engine in my truggy and its good power but not like the .25 hope this helps good luck and have good one

Thanks for the input guys. So, the 25 does definitely have more power than the 21's then? It's just that on the websites I've seen, they reckon there is only .2 hp in it and the 21 revs much higher. Strange that the 28 revs higher than the 25.
I just want to make the right decision and get decent run times. What run times are you getting on your truggies with this engine and are the 28's that much thirstier?

Yeah seven to eight easily with the .25. Definately more power than the five port. Every .28 I've run has been thirsty. Seems like the .25 is better in runtime. It's the best all around truggy engine I've ever had.

Who thinks the 2047 is better than the 053
or the 086? Is it a low, med. or hi rpm pipe?
Does it get better run times? Are there any
new GO pipes coming out soon? These are
just a few questions that we need real answers
to. Also, what about turbo head buttons for the
.25 and .28? Is there a euro web site that may
be able to give us some more in depth answers?

If you are going to run against the bigger engines like ninjas, P5's, you are probably going to want a turbo headed 5 port. The 3 port is good, but i think i just lacks a little to run with the so called "top tier" in a truggy. Go with the 5 port. I run a "stock" class where we can only run 3 ports, and the go walks all over the nova and rb's

Derrick I think the 3 port "race" is a different animal from the regular 3port. Seems like it is a top o the line mill.... Just a 3 port like the Vspec.... I would bet that it will keep up with anything on the track....

thats cool, i had mine running at 220* standard button, will have turbo for the next run, It just seem to lack in the infield tight portion. Speed wise it is great, i just feel a 5 port iwould be better in a truggy.
You wont be dissapointed with the 3 Port. I wasnt, it was the fastest 3 port there
