i'am so loving the 3 port r this engine packs a li punch from the bottom and pull hard til the top but just could not find my tune in the cold weather to night its was'nt the engine the receiver batt was dumping and my throttle was not responding according but i was so concerned wit the needles did'nt realize i needed to charge my batt. rook mistake i guess that's why i was all over the place tonight but all and all the 3 port is a li beast for the buggy seam to be the right amount of power for the small track i run!

I was wondering I have purchased a used 7 port go motor and was wondering what pipe is a good pipe for it also what plugs are go. I am running it in a jammin crt with the bce small gear conversion. Also how do I tell if I have the updated carb or not. If I don't how can I go about finding one.
Thanks for any help.

Hey petevette thanks man, i did the freezer thing on my pipe and it took most of the dent out, all but a nasty crease. Im thinking about getting a 086 soon anyway. On a different note, at are local track, it started out with me and a couple of other racers with GO-TECH mills now it seams like half the guys there are running them.I cant wait till our LHS starts stocking the R-SPEC 3 port, sounds like another solid engine from GO...

Well ... finally got time to test my CEN Matrix TR Truggy and break inn my GO TECH .25 6 ports Engine (stock).

Great engine so easy to break inn ... after 4 tanks i was leaning just a little bit in order to at least make up some speed to test the Truggy, the truck its awesome, at start i felt it a bit on the heavy side but the performance on the track was very good even on a very rich engine. We had couple of other trucks at the track practicing and comparing the performance it was great (v/s losis, mugens, hypers and HPI's SS's) so im waiting for the next weekend to get into my first race with the truck. Track its grass based and small/technical so i used a 13T clutch bell instead of the stock 14T, on race day i will decide if it was a good choice or i need the 14T one back.

Engine was very good and easy from the beginning and after 750cc's of gas (aprox. 5 tanks) it was starting to rev up very good and even on rich side. I ended puting 1 liter of fuel through the engine (aprox. 7 tanks) and i think i will put another 3 on this rich setting and will start to close needles. Temps during break inn went on the 190F to 230°F range ... the only thing that always concern me its the heavy grass track where i usually race and practice in Colombia that always leaves to hot engines, hope i can manage that on the GO Engine. Used 3 shoe alum 7075 shoes with 1.1 springs from VP PRO, very good feeling.

Ohhh BTW, the FEMCA 0801 (under new EFRA rules for 2008) from GO TECH its awesome ... very good feeling in bottom but superb performance on medium to top range of RPM's.

Well, here you have couple pics ... cya !! :

cya !!

Default New engine for Hyper ST truggy

Hi All

This is my first post on here and I have spent most of the bank holida weekend reading through this whole thread.

I am about to purchase a new engine for my Hobao / Ofna Hyper ST, and reading through here has pretty much sold me on a Go engine. I use the truggy for bashing only, I might do some club races for fun sometime this year.

I was going to go for the 21 5 port as it seems to have the same power as the 25, but with better economy.

Now after readimg these posts, I am confused. Would I be better off going for the 25 6 port with a 2047 pipe, or a 21 5 port with the same pipe? Does anybody have actual dyno charts they can mail me of these mills standard please?

I wil be bashing with guys that have LRP Z.28 spec 3's and the like in their Hypers so don't want to be left too far behind when bashing. I don't really want to go for a 28 due to the run times.

Also, where is the best place to buy a 2047 pipe with hard coating in the US?

Cheers

Yeah, the bigger the dent, the harder it is to get the dent out. Glad it worked out for you.

You can't go wrong with any of the GO's. I am running the 7 port turbo now and that thing is a screamer. Thinking about getting the 5 and 3 ports too. At my local track there are only two of us running and I just started running it. I am sure that will change now. I have already had several people come up to me and ask about the engine.

Where can I get the GO pipes? I can't find
any place that stocks them. How many different
pipes do they make and which one does what
as far as performance goes?

About that Go pipe FEMCA 0801...has Go sent it in for homologation in EFRA?
I know Hong nor has sent a pipe and has past the tests and has the number #3016.

Is this one the same pipe as the Hong Nor?
When i got my 3 port R engine i also bought the 2047 and ended up returning the pipe after 3 tanks of fuel in order to wait for the new EFRA pipes.

Any input on GO pipes would be appreciated!!
