I am pretty sure that the new GRP engines are the same as the Ninja's. I found this on 3hobby.net.

hey guys!
id just like to say that i hope im 1 of the rare few having success with this engine, cos it was on fire at my last race meet, the only thing that managed to pass it was a really high end nova.
but i do hav slight worries. wen i rebuild it after each meet, this time i noticed scratching on the backplate from the base of the conrod. should i be worried? or is this due to me not properly fitting the crank all the way back
any suggestions
thanks

But 2 meeting doesn't say anything, how much fuel went through the engine?
Tiny "rotation" scratches on the back plate is normal, and you will see them on every engine.
In general, it is not uncommon to change the conrod right after break-in...
The advise (I believe) for Ninja engines is to change the conrod after 5 liters after break-in and from then each 7.5 liters....

Thats the agreement, but the parts have been scarce since last year and most places still don't have them back in stock for over 4 months. Those two years are starting off on the wrong foot already. Parts are also expensive, and the glowplugs are one of them. Thats why I sold my Ninja. I can find more parts for O.S., Novarossi, Axe Rossi, Sirio, & JP racing than a GRP Ninja.
