That should be the Novarossi NSR12 S5. If its like my TSR12 S3, it would be the same with turbo button and filled crank but is a 5 port outlaw engine.

Unless someone swapped the head, the 5 in NSR5 is 5 ports, just like NSR3 is 3 port. Take off the head and examine the sleeve. Also look into the carb or take it off and see if there is a small putty filler in the crank opening.

The NSR12S5 (NSR5), and NSR12S3 (NSR3) are MICROCASTED versions of the NS12S5 (NS5), and NS12S3 (NS3) which uses CNC MACHINED pistons.
They are both the same size/specs but they only differs in the pistons.

The the microcasted version has slightly more horsepower and rpm than cnc machined version.

Default Novarossi ns12ts1 3 port

Please if any one can help. I have been reading the postings on this thread and 3 people have asked about this engine the novarossi basic ns12ts1. If you have any information on this engine please post a reply. Need help please. I have been trying to find out if any one has used this engine and what they thought. Can any one tell if it would be good for club races or even worth the time.

Default Plus 21-3

I m having trouble tuning my Plus 21-3 7 ports on road engine. This is a fairly new engine with less than 1 gallon on it and only seen one 45 mins race. The compression is still good. Initially the tune was good max temp was around 110C, right now i notice the performance of the engine is getting poorer in all areas, low and top end. Whenever i punch the throttle the engine would bog and later found out the reason behind it was the fuel was spiting out from the carb instead of sucking it. Then the engine would not scream as before on the straight and the temp was higher, around 130C. If i richen it up it would not engage 2nd gear and the speed is even slower than my 10th scale touring. One more thing I notice is my carb become very hot just after a few minute starting it.I m using stock head shims, 25% tornado fuel and Nova C6TGF plug. What is wrong with this engine?

you're running a plug that is too hot for .21 onroad engine........try 7tgf next time.......

your clutch may be fading with the heat and so the engine bogs down....

I had very little experience with Tornado fuel, it was in Argentina during the 1?8 WC last year. One thing I noticed isthat the engine temperatura increases a lot from the start to the end of a 10min qualifying............everytime I set the engine to start at 120ºC the engine went too lean during the race......so you can try to get your engine running at 100ºC and then check the temp again when the car is getting out of fuel, at this time the tempo should no be higher than 120~125ºC (Exergen temp gauge).........

Try another pipe. Fuel spitting out of the carb is a pretty sure sign that there is something in your pipe, blocking off holes and increasing back pressure (hence the fuel is blown back out of the carb.)

Had the exact same problem once and it was a piece of an silicone header gasket which did this.
