i must say the sea freight took long, more than a month but that was because customs was holding on to it. those days they taxed.
but now within two weeks, i don't know if being a member actually expedite the shipping. sometimes i see the "Rush" sticker on the box.

I buy a fair bit of gear from the US and never have problems with USPS priority mail - it's tracked and delivered very fast.
I usually order all my gear from losi parts house on Thu/Friday and will recieve it on my doorstep By no later than Wednesday !!!
I have purchased stuff from Tower Hobbies before and find it wasn't that great, but i think customs had a role to play in the 10 week delivery......

Its not necessarily USPS or Tower either.
I regularly import goods from the US And Asia. When one of my EMS parcels (supposedly 4-7 days from the US) hits Australia, between Australia Post and Australian Customs, it is currently taking between 4 and 6 weeks for these useless bastards to process a package, even when they have the paperwork attached to the package.
And just before I get jumped on, this time frame is based on over 30 parcels over the last 5 months. When you call Aust Post and Aust Customs, all they do is blame each other and you can never get a straight answer out of either of them.

i think Tower has two warehouses in the US, on opposite coasts or one might be in central USA. So when the warehouse that tries to process your order does'nt have a part they have to get it transfered to them from the other warehouse before posting it to you here in Aus. And the domestic mail service in the US has alot of issues (security, etc) which slow it down.
I could be wrong but thats what i remember my old man saying when he was dealing with Tower alot. I might ask him and get back to you all.
