Does RB v12 replace the RB x12 engine? I have a x12 which I use as a backup engine and forgot how fast this was untill this last weekend when I needed it for a race. I cooked my OS TZ5P and need another spare engine for my tool kit. Wouldn't mind finding another RB x12 if still available.

Xenon-R.....
First impression is awesome, fast engine for a good price.
But later impressions.....
after 4 liter the crankpin was conical worn out by 0.03mm, a new conrod did not fit the crankpin, it was very tight. After drilling it to the right size and running in it did last only 1.5 liter and than it broke.....

Yeah I thought it was alright too , until she started dropping glow plugs like nothing else . Seemed to me to be either leaning out at high RPM's or shimmed wrong . I shimmed it up and checked thru everything in the motor and fuel system for leaks . It kept doing it so now instead of being a cheap motor it is an expensive paper weight !!
