You can plug your fan in and it will work perfectly. Reason being is that the bind blug uses the 2 outside most pins to put the receiver into the bind mode, while the fan uses 1 outside and the middle pin. I have run fans with the SR3500 since day one and it works perfectly.

I know there have been questions on how to bind the SR3500 Micro receiver or clarification on how to do this. The instruction sheet has been posted on-line, and you can find it below

I'm moving the arial in my receiver so that it comes out the side. But is it like the module where the wire has to go under the circuit board like this

instead of straight across the board like this

or does it not matter?

My two month old Spektrum DX3 radio steers twice as far to the left as to the right. Everything is set to neutral. I even bound my son's radio and mine to 3 different receivers and three different servos. His works perfectly, mine not.

I don't have much info, but is the "steering pot" bad or something else in the radio bad?

I know I have to send it in, just hate to wait 2-3 weeks to get it returned

Check the epa settings on the transmitter are set correctly.

What does "epa" mean and how do I check them and reset them?

As I said, the radio has been set to "neutral" meaning all settings set to 100% or zero or what ever they need to be to be.

epa is end point adjustment - and how you set them depends on the radio. . .what kind/model do you have?

I just got the pro module and receiver for my JR Z-1 (EX-10) radio and was able to bind the receiver to the radio no problem and am able to use the system with no problems up to 20ft away, after that point it loses signal. Has anyone had any experience with this before? Maybe I need to send it back to Horizon?

also, check to be sure the horn on the servo is centered correctly on the output gear

do this by removing the horn from the servo, turn the radio & car on, set everything to neutral, and put it back on

Thanks for the advice guys, but as I said in my original post, everything is set to neutral or 100% as it should be. My son's radio is set up the EXACT same way, with his radio bound, all three servos tested with all three receivers (nine tests) work perfectly. Mine, in all 9 tests is the same result: 45 deg to the left, 10 deg to the right. That is why I think it is the radio. BTW DX3

Have you cut your arial shorter? Or is it wrapped around something and doesn't stick up the arial tube?

I have just the standard Spektrum in my 3pk. I cut the arial on my receiver down to 4" (still longer then the minimum 3.6") and I sometimes get a similar problem. I will be driving around and at some far points of the track it seems to loose signal and the failsafe kicks in. I have put it down to the arial being too short and not enough of it is sticking up the arial tube. I was going to put on a new arial but by the looks of it you have to send it back to replace the arial, so instead I am just changing the route of the arial to the arial tube so that more of it sticks up the tube. I will be testing today so I will see how it goes.

The arial is the stock length and routed directly to the antenna tube (its in a TC3 with a BMI chassis, which has an antenna hole in the top deck). The arial is not wrapped around anything, it is run straight and directly to the antenna tube.

hey guys, does any one know if , when you adjust the direct trim thum clicker next to the wheeel for the throttle trigger, into drag brake ( i think this is what it is called ) does the full throttle or full brake end point change at all.

You should not cut the aerial to a different lenght than 3.6" .... otherwise you're creating an antenna optimised to a different wavelenght.... ant not 2.4 ghz...

from the manual, page 10:

Note : if desired, the antenna can be shortened (cut)
to exactly 3.6" with negligible loss of range and in some
applications the short 3.6" length will make installation easier.
