How old is the servo? And how much has it been used? The 605 servo was originally designed as an economical upgrade to a stock servo. When it was released there really wasn't any affordable servos to upgrade to, you either used a stock servo or had to go for the $200 units. If its been used quite a bit then its possible that the gear train has just worn down a bit and is causing the problem. If its under 2 years old send it in to our service department and they'll repair your servo for you for free. TTYL.

I think I isolated the problem I took out my oneway diff and it goes down the staright much straighter now it still tends to stick a little after a hard turn but that might just be my driving style or setup the servo is brand new I got it about 1 month ago. it only started doing this when I started racing on carpet. 2 weeks ago

I wondered, about the auto dual rate. Is it correct, that the more the trigger is pulled, the less steering you get? Assume the car is ready to run, except that the pinon is removed. Then, can you actually se the steering servo turn less and less, the more you pull the trigger?
(I dont have a 3D, considering...)

You can set up the auto dual rate anyway that you like. At full throttle, you get less steering, or if you like you can set it for full steering. You can set the points at where the Dual rate changes on the throttle throw and how much steering you get at those points. TTYL.

I am having problems with my latest 5925MG servo. I just finished my latest touring car and was trying it out on our local carpet track lastnight. I kept having problems with the car not keeping the same center, had to keep adj the steering trim. I pulled the car and checked the steering for binding and loose parts and found the servo horn mounting screw had loosened up. I thought I had found the problem but when I tried it again the problem kept getting worse untill the wheels kept steering to the left even if I turned them right. I pulled my old car out and used it to race for the night (won the A main
but I have never had a problem with a hitec digital servo before. Any ideas?

Gary- You were right the servo horn splines were stripped. I couldnt get them to move by hand but when I held the horn and had my son try to steer the car I felt it slip. I looked at it at the track but I guess my old eyes arnt what they used to be! Could you post the number of splines for Hitec and any other brands you know of? I always forget to write that info down when I find it.
Thanks
